Setting ACLs
This is possibly the dumbest question I have asked ever, but how do you set ACLs on files within a ZFS filesystem? Trying to use setfacl(1) diverts me to the acl(5) manpage; well, I know that I need to use NFSv4 style ACLs, but where is the utility to do so? This is on Solaris 10 Update 2. Thanks, Ceri -- That must be wonderful! I don''t understand it at all.

imapc fetch optimization
Hi, imapc does a lot of UID FETCH $UID (BODY.PEEK[]), which is nice, because it works even with the dumbest IMAP server, altough it really kills performance, especially on high latency lines. I wonder: if IMAP servers can effectively handle boundless fetches (like a list with all wanted UIDs, or simply 1:* if all are needed), do you see this as a good addition to develop? This could be a

ssh_fxp_name
Hello, I have a very basic sftp client which is able to successfully intialize the transport layer, password authenticate, and start the sftp subsystem. Now, I am stuck with an issue when I try to retrieve the directory listing. Sometimes I get a transport packet in which the sftp packet length field registers a length greater than the enclosing transport packet. In othet words sometimes I get a

Cycle/Partials issue
First off, I''m fairly new to ruby on rails so this may appear simple but I''m just learning the ropes :) So I have a simple blog app where a post has many comments. The ''show'' view for posts renders a partial for each comment the post has. The css class of the containing div element is cycled using cycle(). The partial code is, <% div_for(comment, :class

Better way to find function
To whom it may concern, 1. I would like to know if there is a command in R to choose a function for a given dataset. I am facing a difficult question about how to fit the data [ please attachment ] 2. Are there any function that will allow users to do the piecewise regression? If not, is it going to be provide in the new updated version? What I am using is the piecewise logistic regression,

Fill in empty spaces modified
Hi All? I was looking at a posting from June-17. I managed to solve it. However, when I changed the example in the posting, my solution will work only once at a time which was mentioned by Jim Lemon on his response to the original posting. This means that my solution will have to be repeated as many times as the maximum number of spaces on each gap; something that may not work well for large

TDM11B modprobe wcfxs fails
Hi, I got my TDM11B and am trying to get it to work on my PC. However, I'm having difficulty getting the wcfxs driver to load. I've Googled this problem, and while there are others who have ran into the same problem, none of the solutions work for me. I would very much appreciate it if you could suggest things I could try to resolve this problem. Details follow. The PC is somewhat

Where to put source code?
I'm trying to move from Matlab to R, and I'm stuck even getting started. This sounds to me like the dumbest question in the world but... how does one put R source code in files? Over the last three days I've gone front to back through the Introduction to R and the R Language Definition, and while I'm excited that the language is so Lispish, none of what I read described how to

[LLVMdev] Any mechanism available for link time inlineing?
Hi, trying to develop this idea of splitting c++ classes into real interface and implementation and to make a std isocpp proposal out of it. Need some help and info to make the proposal cover as many details as possible. The idea is to split the class declaration into a part that will stay in the header and will contain only the public members. (let's ignore protected for the moment). The

Polycom 500, asterisk user opinions?
Hi all, I'm researching IP phones for a new office setup. We will need 30 phones. I have read the wiki and the polycom site for the phones, but I still had some questions about real world experience with these phones. -According to the documentation, the 500 series ( and 600, according to a polycom rep ) have built in hubs. Has anybody noticed performance issues in this setup, when

OT: Snom 320, displaying text on the scree n from *
try "sipsak -M -O desktop -B "foo" -s sip:<user>@<registrar> -H <ip of registrar>" the trick is to specify the "-O desktop" parameter + the "-H <ip of registrar>" parameter. Sipsak fakes the host-header of the registrar so that the Snom thinks it is coming from your Asterisk server, then lets the message through to the
