Phantom (ghost) Calls with Wildcard TDM400P
We have a client that has a single Wildcard TDM400P with 3 FXO ports on Asterisk 1.0.7. Occasionally the system seems to loose its mind and starts originating calls from that Zap channels that don't exist. The receptionist picks up the phone and nobody is there. This can happen repeatedly over and over again within a few minutes. As far as we can tell these are definitely not real calls as

SIP Authentication problem between Cisco router and Asterisk when calls are forwarded
We are using a Cisco router with a T1 card plugged into a PRI provided by a local telco (Allstream). This Cisco accepts calls and sends them to a couple of servers running Asterisk depending on which number was dialled. But there is a problem. When a call comes in to the Cisco from the PSTN it sends it to the Asterisk server something like this: FROM: 204XXXXXXX@<CISCO IP> TO:

OGM and GStreamer
Well, actually most OGM files do have a subtitle track, often in multiple langauges. Also, re 2. Keyframe seeking in OGM is generally a bit rough because ogm files can contain almost any codec as the video track, usually xvid or divx. re 1. As a general rule you shouldn't be trying to make any more ogm files :) So chances are the ogg muxer is not accepting the connection, because it

OGG/OGM media container
Hi all, Xiph aims at developing open-standards media formats. Though xiph.org tells about vorbis/theora/flac/speex, nothing is mentioned about container to use (that is ogg/ogm). I have a few questions Is there a difference between ogg and ogm? I guess its only the extension that is different and everything else is same. Some tools (like ogmtools) are available to create ogm files. What is

Cannot get ogm infos
Help is needed ! I cannot extract infos from video stream in an .ogm file using the VorbisFile library. It seems that I can only open .ogg files (audio)! When I call "ov_open_callbacks" it generates a message error. Here is my procedure in pascal: code: _____ procedure GetOGMInfo; var F : TFileStream; vf: OggVorbis_File; res: integer; begin F :=

ogg, ogm or mkv
hi guys, i'd like to have your opinion on using ogm or mkv containers for theora videos. since you recommend ogg containers for theora and vorbis officially i've been insisting on using .ogg. but for example eightsoft put ogm instead of ogg for theora on the last build of "super" and i send an e-mail to them about this issue. and i didn't get the whole idea on the

Queue still tries to ring agent when busy
When agents are on the phone, and the CLI queue show command shows their status as busy, the queue still tries to send them calls. Running Asterisk 1.6.0.17 and using AddQueueMember to dynamically add agents. ringinuse is set to no for queue. Agents are using Polycom 430s. dialplan: exten => s,n,Queue(orders,itT,,,80) queue definition in queues.conf: [orders] maxlen=20 queue-thankyou=

Final Post/Lack of support
Hi, I went to the official xiph channel on IRC (openprojects) to try once more to get some support for the *.ogm stuff we did. I think there still is and always will be the need for this extension, out of _well_ known reasons. I was in a bad mood for all the stuff which happened the last months regarding the ogg container being called ogm to indicate that this isn't meant for a music

Re: Interrupting voicemail with "*", dropping to "a"
I'd be curious about this as well. In Asterisk version 1.0.7, it can't possibly work, unless my C reading skill is completely broken, because the voicemail app isn't listening for a "*" but only for a "#" or a "0". That's also true of /app_voicemail.c/1.203/Thu Mar 10 19:33:15 2005//D2005.03.10.08.00.00 For those interested, I've created a patch

help - Theora/Vorbis/Ogg, ogmmerge and ffmpeg2theora
Hi, I'm probably being fairly stupid. But I did the following, starting with the following two files: # tcprobe -i vts_01.m2v [tcprobe] MPEG elementary stream (ES) [tcprobe] summary for vts_01.m2v, (*) = not default, 0 = not detected import frame size: -g 720x576 [720x576] aspect ratio: 16:9 (*) frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3 # tcprobe -i vts_01.m2a

OGM and GStreamer
Hi All! I have some troubles with OGG and GStreamer: 1) When I parsing ogg file with ogmdemux element, I recieve (in "pad-added" signal callback) video pad as "application/x-ogm-video", but not as "video/something". And that why I can't link It to the oggmux element and write new OGG file :( 2) I'am using "playbin" to play media file, but It

video chapters and subtitles in ogg containers
I'm trying to create files that contain a video stream, one or more audio streams, subtitles, and DVD-like chapter information. ATM, I use ogm containers that can handle all this. But although ogm is supported e.g. by xine (including chapters), it seems to be an unofficial hack. Is that correct? I'd like to move to ogg containers, since ogm doesn't support theora videos. My final

OGM Container?
In many countries, a movie contains three parts: video, audio and subtitles. An OGM container supports all the streams, and it's possible to add another audio or video stream to it with ogmmerge. That is the difference between OGG and OGM. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a

Audio/video synchronization in ogm files
Hi! I made an ogm file with ogg audio and divX video. When I play it, sound and movie are not well synchronous (I played it with WMP and ashampoo). What can I do? NB: I know that this problem does not come from the audio and the divX video files, since when I make a mp3/divX avi file, it works. Sincerely, Frédéric. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project

Muxing a52/ac3 and Theora
Is there a program currently available that will correctly mux a52/ac3 streams and theora streams into an ogg container? I've tried oggzmerge, and it will mux ac3 into ogm and correctly create a new ogm from an existing theora file, but it doesn't seem to put the two together correctly.

How to calculate exact bitrate/filesize w/ Vorbis? Plz help
Hi, I'm quite familiar w/ mp3 cbr/abr/vbr encoding, as well as mpeg4 (cbr/vbr,etc). And I can always calc the bit rate for a given file size with: file size * 8000 / length in seconds = kbits/sec Works great w/ mpeg4 + mp3. BUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME: I cannot get oggenc (1.0x version) to give me the file size I want. I calc. it with the above formula, and nothing comes out right. Then I do
