Absolute Newbie.
Hello, I must confess to being an absolute newbie to wine - except for having followed the content of the mailing lists for a while. I would quite like to get involved with the project, and would prefer a testing-oriented or documentation role if there was a need for such. What I'd like to know at this point, if anyone would tell me, is where exactly is the wine project up to in terms of

Interrupt VM and Steal a call.
Two questions: 1. Does anyone have a good way to transfer a call from inside comedian mail to the current extension? The problem is: let's say the phone goes to voicemail after 4 rings, yet I don't hear it until the 3rd ring. I come running into my office but miss it by a split second. Is there a way I can barge in on the person leaving a message for my mailbox while they're

Outgoing call answer confirmation
Using Digium's "Asterisk Developer's Kit (TDM)", I've been trying to make an outside call by copying sample.call to /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing. I want the VoiceMailMain to run when the call is answered. The call is made correctly but, as you probably know, the application starts as soon as the call is made. I see there are two solutions: Using callprogress=yes in

voicemail enhancements
Brad's recent list of enhancements look good, but I haven't looked at the code yet. If the code looks good, I hope it will be committed to the project CVS. Here's a partial list of enhancements that I would like to see in Comedian Mail. I am probably interested in helping to fund the enhancement of Asterisk voicemail. Is anyone else interested? -Address message to multiple

ISDN Cause codes
Hi All Just been looking at stats for one of my sites, and I'm conserned about the number of error cause codes being returned from the telco for example 12000 calls processed 131 are cause code 31* normal. unspecified.* 139 are cause code 28 * invalid number format (address incomplete).* 112 are cause code 1 *Unallocated (unassigned) number. *this adds up to about 3% of calls not

[LLVMdev] Discussion of eliminating the void type
I have to confess that I find the whole idea crazy. It seems a lot of pain for everyone for very little gain. nfs timeout
hi, I use automounter to mount to many hosts /net/<hostname>/dir When the hostname is unavaliable it seems NFS gets stuck. I would like to set a NFS timeout (say 60 secs). If not available then error. I need to use hardmount but is there such a thing as NFS client timeout? -- --- Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.--

outdial to phone for new VM notification
Hi all, Does anyone have an application/script or extensions.conf file which will do the following? "When a new VoiceMail is left for a user, the asterisk system will place a call to a cellphone/pstn number(via some provider). When the user answers his cell/home phone, comedian mail will ask for his password and he can check his Asterisk VM?" Anyone have any examples of it

Comedian Voicemail Issues
Hello, I have set up Comedian Mail on my Asterisk system. I am using Voicemail not Voicemail2 in my extensions.conf file. The system works great except for 1 thing...It is not possible to create custom unavailable or greeting messages for 3/4 voicemail boxes. For some odd reason 3/4 users are unable to modify the default voicemail prompt with their own custom greeting. The greeting gets

loging user actions
Hallo, from time to time some of our users delete files. But none of them do confess that they have deleted the file. I want to find at the samba logs which user has deleted the file. I´m using the audit-vfs module but there are only messages about opening and closing of files. Can anybody give me a hint for using samba logs to find the users I´m searching for? Thanks in advance Peter

blocked caller id
I have a question - if a user calls up w/ blocked caller id I get the following on my phone Incoming call from asterisk This is the same on my Cisco 7940s and Polycom phones. For average users this is not intuitive at all.. I'd like to configure this so if I deploy this at a customer site it says "caller id unavialable". With the spelling done right.... Any ideas on how this

lme model specification
Dear All, I am trying to specify the following fixed effects model for lme: y ~ constant1 - beta1*(x - beta2) where y is the response, x is the independent variable, and the operators above are real arithmetic operations of addition, subtraction, and multiplication. I realize that this model is just a reparameterization of y=beta0+beta1*x, but I am using this parameterization because I am

rsync on Windows 2000?
What is the status of rsync on Windows 2000? I was looking to install it on my test system, and the download directory has a readme file that says I need the cygnus gnu-win32 library. The link refers me to the index page for cygnus, with no way to get to a download area. A google search shows many mirrors of the download directory. All I have checked are completely blank. I will confess

External MW Lamp On/Off
One of the connections my asterisk PBX has is an analog extension from a Comdial hybrid. On the Comdial system, message waiting is turned on by dialing *3 and then the station number. It is turned off by dialing #3 and the station number. I was wanting to have Asterisk (or Comedian mail) set the message lamp in the Comdial system when a new message arrives for a user, and extinguish the lamp

Help with Beta Distribution
First let me confess that I am a R-novice. I am trying to fit a beta distribution for a dataset using fitdistr(MASS). I am having difficulties with it because the function tends to fit a distribution with a range of 0 to 1 (I guess). However, my dataset is not! Anytips or tricks will be very much appreciated.
