Polycom 601 Message Center
While I know this is not a true asterisk problem, I figure someone where may know. When you click on Messages and it gives you the count of Urgent, New, etc. How can you make the phone gather that information? For example, my phone shows me there is an e-mail. It also sends an e-mail. Yet, when I click on message before I connect to the contact center, it doesn't have any counts. Here is

MWI not working on Polycom Phones
Hi All - I'm running version SIP version 1.3.4 on various IP300, IP500, and IP600 Polycom phones. I'm having a tough time with MWI. I thought I remembered somebody on the list saying that they had it working, but I can't find it in the archives now. I have all the phones configured for MWI as specified in the WIKI: ipdmid.cfg: up.oneTouchVoiceMail="1"

Polycom 500 / MWI
All, I'm using Asterisk 1.6 and using Polycom 500's with SIP firmware 2.1.3. I can not seem to get the Message Waiting Indicator to work reliably (and in my opinion correctly) with voicemail. I've got the following in my phone.cfg: <reginfo> <msg msg.bypassInstantMessage="1"> <mwi msg.mwi.1.callBack="*97"

Polycom screwed up Messages button in 1.4.1?
I think Polycom has added another feature that nobody wants. With MWI configured, and a phonexxx.cfg that has this: <msg msg.bypassInstantMessage="1"> <mwi msg.mwi.1.subscribe="" msg.mwi.1.callBackMode="contact" msg.mwi.1.callBack="XXX" msg.mwi.2.subscribe=...> </msg> Under 1.3.4 and earlier, the phone would immediately

Hi I am just getting started with asterisk and trying out using the sample files with a Polycom IP500 (latest sip.ld etc) My question: phone status says not registered: /system status/server status "Line 1 poly is not registered" console message says: handle_request: Registration from '<sip:poly@10.1.20.3>' failed for '10.1.20.50' I have tried dialing and

Polycom 320 messages
I used this site (and perhaps a couple other Google returned) as well as the Polycom Admin guide as reference. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Getting+MWI+on+Polycom+Phones+to+work+wit h+Asterisk 299 is the extension one dials to access their voicemail (with caller ID sending to the correct voicemail). I see the bold on the wiki page telling me to put in my voicemail context, but I'm

Polycom IP 500 Voicemail
Hello All, I have some Polycom IP 500 phones that I would like to have configured for direct dialing to our voice mail system. So far I have been unable to get the hard button labeled Voice Mail to connect to Asterisk without first passing through the message center prompts. I have followed all the Admin Guide instructions regarding the phones .cfg files and using

Setup for Go2call ? Or any SIP provider using phonejack or linejack g729 g723
Hi, does anyone have the setup for go2call ? I have digium boards and quicknet linejacks and phonejacks. The cards work fine in asterisk without the g729 or g723.1 for the phonejack. I will like to do SIP origination using the codec in the phonejack and linejack g729 or g723 and send the calls to go2call. Anyone has the setup for this ? Or similar setup to a SIP provider using g729 or g723

Called Party Identification on Polycom IP501
Greetings, The Polycom SIP 1.5 Admin Guide says this: "3.1.8 Connected Party Identification Where possible, the identity of the remote party to which the user has connected is displayed and logged. The connected party identity is derived from the network signaling. In some cases the remote party will be different from the called party identity due to network call diversion."

Polycom phones w/ two lines on different servers
Hi all - This isn't really directly Asterisk related, but has anyone successfully set up a Polycom phone to register two lines on two different Asterisk boxes? I can get the first line to register, but the second one does not. I can still place calls from that second line, which indicates to me the server, user, and secret are correct. I'm running the newest 2.6 series firmware with the

How to supervise a Voicemail box with a BLF button ? What does "State:Unavailable" exactly means ?
Hello, I'm trying to supervise an existing Voicemail box with a BLF button on Debian's asterisk 13.14.1 system. I mostly found this [1] document. I added in a context a line like: exten = *7000,hint,MWI:31 at default With "core show hints", I can read this: *7000 at subs : MWI:31 at default State:Unavailable Presence:not_set Watchers 1 My questions

Calling on all Polycom Experts
Hey all, I'll give my reseller a call for support in the morning, but I usually have better/faster luck on the list. I've got a SoundPoint IP500 that I upgraded to BootROM 2.6.2 and SIP image 1.5.2 on someone elses advice, I forgot to change out the old config for the new when I loaded the image up (I guess the config changed a bunch between 1.5.2 and 1.3.1) I was prompted with an error

Get MWI from Telco's voicemail
Howdy I have a question regarding support for picking up when the telco sends a MWI message. My client's setup is a small office with three incoming lines on a TDM400P with iaxy's and a Grandstream as extensions. I am using CVS Head from yesterday. (I was resolving a different issue.) Since they only have two voice lines, with the third as a fax, I am using voicemail from the telco.

Remote MWI for Central Voicemail?
Hi - We've got multiple offices with their own asterisk boxes (CVS HEAD 11/03/04-14:59:37) connecting to each other using IAX forwards. All users are on SIP phones. Voicemail is centralized to one location. Everything is hunky dory except that the users in the remote offices don't get MWI on their phones. I've seen the other posts to this list regarding this, and

Asterisk 1.6, IMAP Voicemail and externnotify
