Row limit for read.table
I have been trying to read in a large data set using read.table, but I've only been able to grab the first 50,871 rows of the total 122,269 rows. > f <- read.table("http://www.cs.odu.edu/~fmccown/R/Tchange_rates_crawled.dat", header=TRUE, nrows=123000, comment.char="", sep="\t") > length(f$change_rate) [1] 50871 From searching the email archives,

Turn off border on barplot
I was wondering if there was any way to completely remove the borders around each bar when using the barplot function. I understand how to change the color of the border (border="white"), but I need the border to be invisible so I can plot many skinny bars right next to each other with only the bar's color visible. Thanks, Frank -- Frank McCown Old Dominion University

Nothing but rhythm was left after encoding and decoding by speex on ipad(XCode 4.1 48110)
hi, I tried to encode the voice data read from AudioQueue and then decode it. There was nothing but rhythm left, it sounds like robot's voice, but I cannot recognize any word. The app was compiled by XCode 4.1. Speex 1.0.5 and 1.2.rc1 gave the same result. When compiling speex 1.0.5, I added them to Xcode project, set the Header Search Paths, then compiled successfully. When compiling speex

RISC-V LLVM sync-up conference calls
Dear list, At the RISC-V BoF at the LLVM Dev Meeting and the longer working session the day after, those of us working on RISC-V with LLVM decided it would be worthwhile to schedule regular sync-up calls in order to better co-ordinate ongoing work between different developers. This is primarily to sync-up, share blocking issues and so on. I understand something similar was done during the

ggplot2, geom_hline and facet_grid
Hi I have a long data set on which I want to do Bland-Altman style plots for each rhythm type Using ggplot2, when I use geom_hline with facet_grid I get an extra set of empty panels. I can't get it to do it with the "Diamonds" data supplied with the package so here is a (much abbreviated) example: > lvexs cvd_basestudy ecd_rhythm fixed_time variable_time 1 CBP05J02

Parked Call Viewer Application - Freeware
I have written an application (win32) to view parked calls. The reason i wrote the code is because my GS doesnt support the system reading the parked extension back to me after I park it. This will allow you to view where the call is parked, the caller id and when it was parked there. You can configure it to show parked calls parked by anyone or set it to a specific Device. If you put

shared axes in multipanel plot
Hello I've created a function to make a plot with multiple pannels from columns of data that are created in a previous function. In the example below the number of columns is 8, giving 4 pannels, but in general it takes data with any number of columns and figures out a nice layout. The panels all have the same axes, and so I wonder what functions are avialable to create axes only on the

We can''t 100% remove our unit tests from the database, can we?
I hope this isn''t too rambly. This is sort of a brain dump of a subject I''ve been thinking about for months as I''ve used RSpec. Let''s say we''ve got a simple query method, that will find all the users in the DB older than 18. Our model could look like class User < ActiveRecord::Base def self.find_older_than(age) find :all, :conditions =>

Quick Questions - IVR=Auto Attendant?
Are IVR and "Auto Attendant" interchangeable terms? They both do the "Press 1 for" thing. Sales is asking me how to word it and I've always used both terms interchangeably.

No rings before auto attendant
Hi all, been searching & not finding an answer to this, although I'm guessing it's absurdly simple... I just hooked up a T1 to our * box (1.2.0), which had been using POTS lines via a channel bank.. Now when I call the new T1 circuit, there are no rings, the Autoattendant just picks up right away.. Any clue on how to make it ring twice before getting picked up? I tried immedate=no and

Advice on best operator phone (with attendant console)
One of our clients is using a Grandstream GXP2000 with an attendant console. We have used the same phone with past clients successfully however this particular operator processes around 200 calls a hours and the GXP2000 for sure does not like the quick line shuffling and call volume. We get the following problems randomly: 1. menu stops working 2. transfer key stops working 3. Line 1 LED gets

Auto-attendant with an IP trunk
Hi: I am trying to setup a simple auto attendant with Asterisk using SIP extensions. I have an IP trunk to voicepulse and my outgoing calls go over that. I can also receive calls on that voicepulse trunk and want it to an auto attendant. Everything works except on the following: - one of the options is to allow the caller to press the extension that they would like to be connected to. I have
