More Success on the Cisco 7920 and SCCP !!!!!
Hi All, have some decent success on the 7920 "activation" in Asterisk. Latest status: chan_skinny does NOT work with 7920 chan_sccp does WORK with 7920 (!!) however: to remove coredumping the chan_sccp just comment out the MWI (messagewaitingindicator), then it compiles fine. Then change sccp_helper.c: return "P0060302" instead of the old value. and voila: Phone is

Cisco 12sp+ and 30VIP
I've searched high and lo and googled to I can't google no more... I knew that Cisco bought Selsius to get their VoIP solution but what I didn't know was that the 12sp+ is based upon an ITE-12 product that is apparently used at universities. I've taken two of the phones apart and started swapping parts and have looked up the IC's on the Internet... Anyway... After using

chan-sccp problem, phone is not registering
Hi list! I'm trying to configure the Kirk IP 600 wireless (DECT) system. The wireless phones are regular DECT phones, the Kirk IP 600 is doing the voip part by registering/gatewaying the phones to a callmanager server. The phones do not work and I think the problem is that they do not register at asterisk but I'm not sure because I don't understand a thing of the sccp/skinny

WG: Cisco 7920 WLAN Phone
Hi, I?ve been following some information about the latest chan_sccp drivers for a few weeks. I installed and tried about any variant of driver that exists in the chan_sccp system. Despite a few little changes in the CLI options I am still encountering a lot of problems with the phone. When not using the phone for a while, it "disconnects" from asterisk (1.0.7) after a few hours

Realtime fullcontact field contains nat device private ip
Hi All, Has anyone else noticed that when a sip phone sitting behind a nat registers to asterisk using realtime database, the private IP of the phone is put into the fullcontact field instead of the public contact IP. The database has the correct public IP in the ipaddr field and correct port number in the port field, which is actually what asterisk uses to to contact the device. This

Hi! Sorry! I forget to mention that port 8001 it's open at the firewall too. So winamp should work fine with this configuration. Thanks anyway Kurt! Any other ideas? cisco 7940 + sccp issue
Hi, Does anyone know how to make this thing (7940) work with asterisk (chan_sccp module) ? I've set the configuration according to the wiki and now the phone just keep asking for CTLSEP<xxx>.tlv from my tftp server. In the cisco's web interface, I found this in the device logs : 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 ...

direct IP calling with extension
All, If I have video phones behind an asterisk server (with 2 network cards) and all the phones have extensions. Internally everything works great. Now for people that want to call my video phones external to my office is there a way to do that? On the extenal persons phone enter an IP/EXTEN where IP is my server and not the phone? Can that work? Would I have to have PUBLIC IP address for every

How does one "look at AD" in Samba4.1?
Hi all, I'm in the process of setting up a test network with the view of rebuilding our existing (Samba 3.5-based) NT domain, from scratch. Most of the clients that will be connecting to it are Windows 7 machines, there is one Windows 8.1 Standard machine (that won't be joining, but not my problem), and a number of Windows XP virtual machines. Presently I'm running a network

Joining Samba4 to Win 2008 AD domain breaks other kerberos functions
Samba expects the keytab file as /etc/krb5.keytab. Solaris 11 looks for a keytab file in /etc/krb5/krb5.keytab When samba joins the domain it (probably) updates the machine password and then updates its krb5.keytab file. When connecting via ssh, the system would use a keytab file that had the wrong kvno and probably the wrong password key. The following symlink command fixed ssh

Joining Samba4 to Win 2008 AD domain breaks other kerberos functions
I have a Windows 2008 domain (one Win 2008 DC, one Win 2012 R2 DC.) I am trying to join a Solaris 11 machine to the domain for both Samba and other services. For "unix" logins and ssh, Solaris 11 is configured to use LDAP for user and group lookup and kerberos for authentication. The "kclient -T ms_ad" command joins the Solaris machine to the AD domain. It even

Kirk SIP-DECT gateway
Hi, I just got some interesting information from Kirk Telecom (www.kirktelecom.com). This company has been in the business of providing DECT solutions (IP gateway, base stations, repeaters and handsets) either to be used with Cisco CallManager (SCCP protocol) or with the Innovaphone IP PBX system (H.323). Two important elements: 1. It seems they foresee a SIP version of their product in Q1

Asterisk Demo
Hi, I need to setup a demo for asterisk and need some help here please. The demo is connecting to Asterisk a Cisco 7970 SIP (ver. &.0) and a SIP client on HP iPAQ via a wireless hotspot. I need to configure both with the same extension with a shared line like in Cisco CallManager. This way if the extension is called both iPAQ and the IP phone ring and the user gets to pick up using either.

NAT from eth0:0 port 80 to lo port 8080?
I'm stumped. We have a CentOS 4.4 box with something like the following IPs: eth0: 64.61.61.100 eth0:0 64.61.61.112 eth1: 10.0.0.100 lo: 127.0.0.1 (of course) We want requests to 64.61.61.112:80 to be NAT'ed to 127.0.0.1:8080. This seems like it should be really simple -- maybe the following? -- I've tried variants combining this rule with a POSTROUTING rule, tried dnat,
