callback on busy
Hello everybody, I would like to implement "callback" function. When I call a person and his extension is busy I can press, for example, 5 and get a callback when his phone is not busy anymore. When I create a call file and copy it to spool call folder asterisk makes a call. One problem is that when extension is still busy my phone rings and I get busy tone of the person who I am

Re: Need AMD debugging help
Great call, Jason. The trouble may also be from overclocking their CPU's. We ran into some similar bug reports in the Furthur project with people swearing up and down that random application hangs and glitches was our software (which in part it was). However, as soon as they brought their CPU's and video cards back to spec, their problems magically went away. I would follow this one up

Asterisk overheating on VIA Epia M Series motherboard
Hello I am running Asterisk on SUSE Linux Professional 9.3 on a VIA Epia M Series motherboard - CPU runs at 1GHz. There is no fan - just a large heatsink. Currently system is running off standard IDE hard drive - because I couldn't get astlinux to run with my Digium TDM04B card (only PCI card in system). Strangely I also have the same system also running SUSE Linux running as a file

You mean you used your bsd-ports-provided gcc to compile LLVM and you've got 4 times a bus-error during the build? In this case, it cannot be a LLVM problem. In the linux-community, people say that bus-error's are

Powerful PC to run R
Dear all, I'm currently running R on my laptop -- a Lenovo Thinkpad X201 (Intel Core i7 CPU, M620, 2.67 Ghz, 8 GB RAM). The problem is that some of my calculations run for several days sometimes even weeks (mainly simulations over a large parameter space). Depending on the external conditions, my laptop sometimes shuts down due to overheating. I'm now thinking about buying a more

Strange dots on monitor
Yves thank you very much for your help, today I tried newer drivers but the problem persists. So I think it is hardware problem. Since the laptop is still in warranty I will probably contact the manufacturer. My only worry is that they would not accept it since I am running Linux (the laptop came with Windows - and I am not sure if the problem would be also present on Windows). Do you think there

[cfe-dev] [RFC] Backend for Motorola 6800 series CPU (M68k)
I know it's really early in the project's life, but another question I had: How does the generated 68K code perform, at least compared to modern GCC? -- Chris

CyberPower PR3000LCDRTXL2U — battery date reset?
So, I just rebuilt the battery packs in my PR3000LCDRTXL2U and its expansion unit. You don't want to KNOW. If the internal batteries have overheated and bulged, you CANNOT remove the battery pack intact even by partially disassembling the UPS, you have to pry the batteries out via the top of the chassis one by one. It's not pretty. Three and a half hours of work including

S.M.A.R.T
At my physics lab we have 30 servers with 1TB disk packs. I am in need of monitoring for disk failures. I have been reading about SMART and it seems it can help. However, I am not sure what to look for if a drive is about to fail. Any thoughts about this? Is anyone using this method to predetermine disk failures? TIA

2 Windows DCs, one crashes, PAM Winbind stops working
Hi, I am using Winbind & NSS/PAM on Debian Linux, joined to a Windows 2000 AD Domain, to provide email (SMTP/POP3) based on Windows username and password. I have two Windows 2000 Servers for domain controllers, DC1 and DC2. Over the weekend DC2 had a CPU fan fail and it overheated and crashed. Once DC2 failed, PAM Winbind stopped working and my users could no longer log into their

VorbisFile library crashs.
Hello! There is a problem with the VorbisFile library. It only works when I open an OGG file for the 1st time. After I closed the file and try to open another one or the same it crashs. It seems it applies to the use of either ov_open or ov_test functions or their combination. I wrote a test app that illustrates the bug. It crashs with a message "Unmapped memory exception". It's
