Asterisk@home with Wildcard TDM400P card.
Hi all, I posted this to the list yesterday, but not sure it made it. I'm running the latest Asterisk@home release, and am trying to install a Wildcard TDM400P with one FXS port and one FXO port. Linux see's the card during the start up ( I think) but when I modprobe for the card it's not being seen. Has anyone successfully added a TDM400P to a Asterisk@home .03 ??? I'm

adding second TDM400P card causes echo cancellation to fail for all Zap channels
Hi, folks: Yesterday I added a second TDM400P card to a working, echo-free server running HPEC. Today, I'm getting these messages: > Apr 20 09:12:12 WARNING[5679]: chan_zap.c:1551 zt_enable_ec: Unable to enable echo cancellation on channel 3 along with complaints of severe echo. The channels have all been tuned using 'fxotune -s' and the echo numbers are all under 2%. I guess

Zap channels in AU hanging up on STD pips
Is anyone having/had a problem with a TDM400P card hanging up on STD outbound calls as soon as the called party answers. I'm guessing that * is responding to the STD pips in some way. -- Howard. Zap Channel error using 4-port FXO TDM400P
I have been having some troubles with the zaptel channel on what appears to be the inbound process. The box is running the stable CVS code and has a TDM400P 4-port FXO card in it for analog connectivity. Channel 1 is the only active port on the card at the moment as we only have one analog line. What has been happening is that it looks like Asterisk has been detecting an inbound call even though

Ztmonitor values when zap channel is onhook
Hello, In my quest to figure out the source of the random echo on our shiny new asterisk install, I have been using ztmonitor on the TDM400p channels for the good part of today. I have 2 TDM400p cards with 8 FXO modules and 6 pots lines connected to them (last 2 channels are unused but configured in zaptel). Even when the lines are onhook, the Tx values settle down to 0 but the Rx values still

Zap channel occasionally misses dialing the first digit
....I THINK. When dialing 1+10 digits, I occasionally get a telco message "You must first dial a 1....". When I look at the console, the number is being sent to the ZAP channel properly. We're talking about a couple of POTS lines on a TDM400P. I'm thinking that it may be starting the dial too early after coming off-hook because I can just redial and have it work (or not)

RE: Noise on ZAP channel
I have a couple SIP phones on a PIII 1Ghz 256MB * server with a TDM01B connected to the PSTN. Calls between SIP phones are clear. Calls to the PSTN are quite noisy. The other person does not hear noise but I hear quite a bit. It is not an annoying sound but definitely much noisier than typical PSTN or even cell phone calls. I believe I have a TDM400P REV H card. I definitely don't

Zap channel not hangingup
Hi, I am setting up a test call center using *. I am using one Zap channel (Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F -- 4 FXO modules) for incoming call and sip phones (SjPhone) for call agents. I have setup queues and agents. While testing I found that if the agent presses * key in soft phone while attending calls Zap channel gets hung up, and another customer can call. But if the caller hangs up (for example

using built-in extension numbers on the ZAP channel
hello, using a legacy PBX to access a Asterisk Zap channel (Legacy PBX FXS --> FXO application Asterisk/TDM400P) I want to be able to "flash" the asterisk pbx. However by pressing the FLASH button on the extension connected to the Legacy PBX gets me the flash features on the Legacy PBX, not on the Asterisk PBX side. I thought of using the following codes (listed below) from

Zap hanging up others zap.
I have Asterisk CVS-HEAD-05/25/04-17:13:22, Copyright (C) 1999-2004 Digium. Also, for example, if a call is done, and an other extension hangup, there are some probability that the other extension

Zap channels ringing too loudly
Hi All I've got an asterisk system, using a couple of Xorcom Astribanks to provide FXS ports. (I'm using the zaptel 1.2 branch, if that matters) I've noticed that the ringing volume is a lot louder than on our old phone system, and people are starting to complain it's too loud. (This is the noise the phone makes when it rings, not the noise in your handset when you ring

Asterisk for home office
I apoligize in advance for this newbie question on what I perceive as a mostly advanced level list... I did some searching, but would like some of your expert opinions. I'm building an asterisk server to be used in the home, both to learn, and as proof of concept of applying this solution in a home. To keep costs down, I'm considering one X100P ($25 ebay clone) card to connect the

Excessive Asterisk delay to answer on ZAP inbound call
Hi, I have an asterisk 1.2.1 on a Debian Sarge distro with *three* TDM400P (12 fxo ports). I noticed Asterisk is slow to answer inbound calls so I connected an analog phone in parallel to make a test: __________Asterisk fxo ---- line -----| -----------------Analog phone The analog phone rings immediately when calling, while asterisk shows the message

Zap failure: cause 66 - Channel not implemented
Hi, I just compiled and installed Asterisk-1.4.2 along with zaptel-1.4.1 and libpri-1.4.0 on a Debian machine with a TDM400P card. Everything goes ok but when I try to make a call through the ZAP channel get an error message about NO ZAP CHANNEL AVAILABLE. Ztcfg and zttool show the card correctly installed. When I tried to use the debug command ZAP SHOW, it was not present in the CLI. My

Channels configuration with DAHDI
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all! Days ago I bought a OpenVox A400P card with a port FXS and another FXO that I am testing with my Asterisk installation in my house. I'm using Asterisk 1.4.24.1 with DAHDI Linux 2.1.0.4 and DAHDI Tools 2.1.0.2 on Debian GNU/Linux Lenny. I was reading "The future of telephony" and this [1] document looking for information about

Adding zap channels under *@Home
Hi all, With the ability of an easy install using Asterisk@Home, I have decided to give it a try. It is my understanding though, that one cannot add zap fxs ports as extensions using AMP. Is there anyone using Asterisk@Home and have added any extensions as zap fxs channels? Would be interested in how you accomplished this. Robert

Calling home while on the road, will it work?
I have a Digium TDM400P card with 1 FXS and 1 FXO module running on my FreeBSD 6.0 server. While I am on the road, I would like to save on costs by using a soft-phone from my laptop to call in to a telephone connected to this card. I installed both Asterisk and Zaptel drivers from the ports, but still haven't done anything with the configuration files. What else do I require, and what is
