AS a proof of concept experiment, I want to try and integrate Asterisk with my Lucent Definity G3 switch. I don?t have an available T1 port on the G3 but I can round up 4 analog ports off the G3. What I thought I could do is create a ?Hunt group? on the G3. Let?s say I configure 5610 ? 5613 as a hunt group. I know I would need a 4 port FXO card to install in the Asterisk server. Two configuration

question about linear mixed model
Hi all: I have a question about linear mixed model. my linear mixed model with randomized slope and intercept with interaction of time and group(g1,g2,g3): model<- glmmPQL(log10(CD4) ~ time + factor(group)+ time:factor(group), random = ~time|id) What I get is only the main and interaction of time and group. My question is: 1. How can I get the g1,g2,g3's slope respectively? In other

rxfax detection problems with multiple contexts
Hello, I have a rather odd problem with Asterisk detecting faxes. I have two POTS lines coming into the box (TDM400P). Line 1 is for voice, Line 2 is fof fax. When I set them up with channel => 1-2 in zapata.conf, all is fine, but as soon as I have two channel => definitions, Asterisk is unable to detect faxes. The fax line is not supposed to ring local phones, so the most obvious

Hi boys & girls : Probably my Subject is crazy, but due I haven''t tryed this, I prefer to ask. Is it possible to run snort in a fw box (using shorewall, of course). Your feedback will be very well appreciate. Thanks Benito.-

orddom package for Ordinal Dominance Statistics
Dear R-users, a new R package has been released named orddom. This package provides ordinal estimates as alternatives to independent or paired group mean comparisons, especially for Cliff?s delta statistics. It provides basic parameters for various robust tests of stochastic equality with ordinally scaled variables. For two sets of data, ordinal comparison estimates are calculated such as -

wctdm module won't load after kernel upgrade
Hi all, I have installed a TDM22B on an IBM xSeries 220 with FedoraCore 3 and setup asterisk cvs head to work properly. A few days ago, I tried to update the system kernel to 2.6.12 from 2.6.9 and also to change to asterisk stable 1.0.9. After compiling zaptel and asterisk, i loaded zaptel and tried to load the wctdm module but this failed with the following message: Notice: Configuration file

dialing out with the outgoing queue problem.
Hi, I have cvs updated all my modules (zapata, libpri, zaptel and asterisk). I have also read in the archives & seems that no-one has run into this problem. What I'm trying to do is simple. Just make and outbound call using the /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing directory. I copied /usr/src/asterisk/sample.call and only changed the context & extension. I configured my Zap1 to the same

Correct way to update Asterisk
Pardon the newbie post. I installed Asterisk on a "test" system using the Asterisk@home cd image. When you boot from Asterisk@home is installs an O/S and Asterisk on your PC. How cool is that. But I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for updating the version that I have. I'm new to CVS, how do I determine what version to build? Is there a primer on how to

SpanDSP - Training failed error / timing problem
I am having a problem with SpanDSP. What happens is when I send a fax to SpanDSP the fax message seems to fail in the training phase. I think it's a timing error, however I have no idea about how to rectify the problem. I have included a copy of the log below. I am using a Digium TDM-400P card with 2 x FXO ports and 2 x FXS ports. The fax is connected to one of the FXS ports (Zap3). The

Can I make spss.get reencode from Windows-1252?
Hi all. I have an SPSS file that I'm loading into R with the Hmisc spss.get function. The trouble is that the SPSS file uses the Windows-1252 character set (which I think is the default for SPSS on Windows) instead of plain-ol' Latin-1, and since spss.get doesn't allow me to pass the "reencode" option to read.spss, any characters in Windows-1252 that are not a part of Latin-1

Replacing the Random Number Generator in Stand Alone Library
Hi R-Developers, I had a question about the random number generator used in the R StandAlone Math Library. The stand-alone library depends on the unif_rand() function for most simulated values, and this function is provided in the sunif.c file in the relevant directory. At present, this program implements the "Marsaglia-Multicarry" algorithm, which is described throughout the R

SUSE 9.2 and Zaptel channels
Of course I am not a kernel expert, so .. please be patient. I am investigating on my zaptel/zapata problem. As the main error message asterisk quits on mentions <'/dev/zap/channel': No such file or directory> I went peeking over there. [Asterisk Verbose Error Mar 13 20:43:35 WARNING[5779]: chan_zap.c:763 zt_open: Unable to open '/ dev/zap/channel': No such file or

Unable to create ZAP channel - All circuits are busy
Hello, I have *@Home 1.5 installed and all is working fine for incoming calls and sometimes outgoing calls. Installed in the box is a digium TDM04B (4xFXO Ports) setup as ZAP1 to ZAP4. I have incoming calls coming in on lines 1-4 in that order and outgoing calls prefering ZAP4 then ZAP3 then ZAP2. When i try to dial out to the PSTN from a SIP phone it sometimes works (normally after a reboot)

replicates in repeated ANOVA
Hi, I have sort of a newbie question. I've seriously put a lot of effort into how to handle simple replicates in a repeated ANOVA design, but haven't had much luck. I really liked reading "Notes on the use of R for psychology experiments and questionnaires", by Jonathan Baron and Yuelin Li ( http://www.psych.upenn.edu/~baron/rpsych/rpsych.html ) but still didn't run across

Why can repeated measures anova with within & between subjects design not be done if group sizes are unbalanced?
Dear R people: I wish to switch from SPSS to R, but there is one particular type of ANOVA design that cannot be done in R. Or more likely, it can be done, but it is nowhere documented. The problem is typical for psychologists: You have a repeated measures design with different groups of subjects. Now, this can be done with the aov command, but the number of subjects in both groups must be

New Firewall setup recommendations?
Hello all. I''m about to set up a new firewall on an old 400 MHz K6-2 machine. What is the recommended, or most common way to go about it? I was thinking of doing a MINIMUM install of RedHat 8 (the option where they actually say "used for setting up things like firewalls") and then installing shorewall on top of that. Would this leave me with anything crucial missing in my

Pairwise Comparrisons
Dear all, I''m trying to write a function, that will take as an argument, some aligned genome sequences, and using a sliding window, do pairwise comparisons of sequence similarity. Coding the sliding window I think I can manage but what I''m trying to get to grips with is getting it so as every pairwise comparison is made, no matter how many genomes are added, from 3 to N. So if
