Asterisk + NetJet (ISDN4Linux)
Well, it has been a long time since I used my NetJet S cards with asterisk (moved to the quad PRI card) but I am trying to get this working again for home use. Basically, what I am using is this: Linux 2.6.8.1: config lines: # ISDN subsystem CONFIG_ISDN=y # Old ISDN4Linux CONFIG_ISDN_I4L=y # CONFIG_ISDN_PPP is not set CONFIG_ISDN_AUDIO=y # CONFIG_ISDN_TTY_FAX is not set CONFIG_ISDN_DRV_HISAX=y

Intermittent breakage with the ISDN4Linux modem driver
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm having some problems using the asterisk modem driver with an ISDN4Linux card (AVM Fritz). (I realise that it's better to use CAPI, but unfortunately this card doesn't have any CAPI drivers). Every so often the ISDN just stops working (it neither dials out nor accepts incoming calls). Trying to dial out just logs: --

Isdn4Linux and DTMF
Hello all, I currently have an Eicon Diva Client isdn card using i4l. Outbound dtmf doesn't work (and never has), but there has been an annoying problem with false dtmf detection in calls (that could be triggered easily by blowing into the receiver on the remote end). I looked through the list and found two patches that need to be applied - 1 to isdn_tty.c in the kernel, and another to

TDM400P with FXO/FXS hangup problem
Hello, I've got an Asterisk server with a TDM400P with 2 FXO modules and 2 FXS modules. This server is connected to 2 PSTN lines and 2 analog phones. In my Zaptel configuration, I've defined 2 groups : one for the 2 FXO's and one for the 2 FXS. The asterisk server is just used to add a little IVR and Voicemail service. Eveything works fine, but sometimes the conversation is

asterisk + i4l problems
Hello! Im pretty new of asterisk world: my goal would be using iaxcomm to call ppl over POTN. Yesterday i configured asterisk to be able to hear a song (with Playback() command) with iaxcomm, and it was wonderful. Now, today i tried to configure asterisk to use my ISDN4Linux supported card (a plain HFC card) with asterisk. i configured modem.conf this way, after reading

Busy message on ISDN cards?
Hi all, I'm new to asterisk and not too knowledgeable on ISDN, so please be gentle :) I have a dual-channel Eicon Diehl Diva card in a Debian Woody box with kernel 2.4.27, connecting to a Telstra (Australia) Onramp Home Highway ISDN line. I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an older kernel with DoV

ISDN problem: lacking dialtone
Hi all, this is a rather "newbie-oriented" question, so please bear with me... The system running Asterisk has been provided with an AVM FRITZ!Card PnP. SuSE Linux 9.0 recognizes it right after booting the system and it seems to be configured (MSN) correctly... The hwinfo looks like this: --- pbx:/etc/asterisk # hwinfo --isapnp 11: ISA(PnP) 01.0: 10300 ISDN Adapter [Created at

I4l channel problems with latest CVS
Greetings, today I'm recompiling asterisk on a new machine with the same isdn card (not the same model, the *SAME* card) using CVS downloaded yesterday night. When I try to start *, it gives me the error: [chan_modem.so] => (Generic Voice Modem Driver) == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/modem.conf': Found == Loading modem driver chan_modem_i4l.so => (ISDN4Linux Emulated Modem

Initializing two ISDN cards in isdn4linux
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello! After LOTS of research on this list and internet in general I managed to get an old Teles PCI card working with Asterisk throught ISDN4Linux. No echos, no delays, simply perfect -- electronic poetry ! :) eheheheheh I just didn't get it to work with CAPI and "chan_capi" but, since isdn4linux is doing such a good job, I'll

Accessing ISDN with avm bluetooth hardware
Hi *, This is my first message to this list, so I hope I am not breaking any rule with my post. My question is the following: can I establish a voice connection over an ISDN interface by using a bluetooth dongle to connect to the ISDN access point? Here follow the details: I have compiled and configured asterisk. Everything seems fine except that when I configure asterisk to use the ISDN

(m)simtest ?
Hi,. We have 2 values (first formant F1, second formant F2) for a given phoneme for six languages. We want to see whether the languages are significantly different one from another for this given phoneme. We have done a manova on our data and it works well, but we doesn't allow us to see which pair of languages are different. If we have only one formant for the phoneme, we would use

ISDN (isdn4linux) DDI
Hello all, does anybody have experiences with DDI on ISDN BRI? I would like to order DDI with 10 or 100 numbers from telco company, and use DDI numbers for direct calling SIP/H323 clients. But I don't know if Asterisk supports it, in archive I found only one answer about it, and I'm not sure. I am going to use it with isdn4linux card. Maybe DDI is called differently in other countries,

no audio using isdn4linux channel
I'll try again using my subscribed address... Apologies to the moderators... --- Hi All, I've successfully got SIP and IAX2 working on Asterisk using X-Lite as a SIP phone and talking to a remote Asterisk over IAX2 using G729. I'm now trying to get an ISDN BRI connection working. I have a Traverse NetJet card (http://www.traverse.com.au/) which I currently have working with

isdn4linux delay
I have a weird problem and I cannot put my finger on it. I hope somebody can help me out. Incoming and outgoing calls via the internet go perfectly well. Calls that originate from a SIP or AIX client on the local LAN (100 Mbx) and terminate via a Winbond BRI often (not all of the times, but most of the times) are having a (about) 5 second delay starting from when I say something until the

ISDN4Linux + Asterisk and Europe
Hello, Anyone on this group using / implementing * and hardware certified for use in Europe ? I believe that ISDN4Linux cards mostly have telecomm certificates, so using them should be safe on the client side. Are there any major issues / problems associated with using such cards with * ? I am talking about a small / very small office with single - few lines. All the best, Piotr Adamiak --

ISDN4Linux early call progress tones & announcements from the PSTN
Hello, I would like to ask if anyone has solved the problem with Asterisk+ISDN4Linux cards, where there are no call progress tones or announcements from the PSTN when we dial ouot through the i4l card. For the moment, if we don't inject the r option in the Dial command, there is only silence during the call negotiation... Using Asterisk RC2 with Eicon passive PCI 2.01 card... Thanks for

ISDN4Linux Incoming calls
Hi everybody ! I've a Pentium IV with a USR ISDN PCI Card W699. Card I've installed asterisk 1.0.0 and it's working fine with outgoing call to POTS But it never answers to my incoming call from POTS and I don't understand why. I tested the modem also with the minicom utility and I never saw the "RING" status It seems that the modem didn't know somebody is
