Intel 536ep as a FXO?
Hi, I've seen some reports about ruuning Intel modem with 537 or MD3200 chipset running with Zaptel drivers as a FXO port. Did anybody managed to set up a PCI faxmodem based on Intel536ep chipset to work with * and Zaptel drivers? Modem seemd to work just fine with Linux, but the driver says no;) some more info: Linux 2.4.26 mazuchna:~# cat /proc/pci | grep 536 Communication

NVIDIA driver / internal modem irq conflict
Hi, I'm having trouble with an IRQ conflict I can't figure out how to resolve. I tried KDE (which is great), but this required the NVIDIA driver. However, this driver conflicts with my modem. If the driver is loaded, then the system locks up when accessing the modem. If I remove the NVIDIA driver from /boot/loader.conf, modem works fine. I tried moving the modem to different slots, but

Zaptel answering the Line
I have a TDM400 card with 3x FXO and 1x FXS ports on it. At the moment I'd prefer (till I can get it working more reliable with iaxmodem), for a faxmodem to answer one of the lines instead of the linecard. I've tried changing the context of that line so that the exten => s does nothing, but that stops the line from being able to receive calls (get a recorded This number is not

Software FAX Modem--One Last Request For Help
Here's one last plea for help from the list before I give up on the totally cool software FAX modem concept in complete despair (for now, at least, until I have more time to dig into it).... I am simply not able to successfully receive a FAX no matter what device I transmit from or how I bring the call into Asterisk. My lastest effort was a call from a Pitney-Bowes FAX machine into an X100P

Hardware advice please?
I am quite new to Linux and have moved (almost) from a windoze NT4 environment. My present configuration is running SuSE V 8.0 with KDE3.0.5 desktop on two machines, connecting with Samba to an NT4 PC, and an occasional laptop or other PC that connects locally to the network. After a deal of searching, researching, and seeking advice I have decided to use Shorewall as my firewall.

Stateful Takeover in a Cluster environment
Hey I am new to Samba and have a few queries. How can you archieve "Stateful Takeover" for a Samba Session My goal is to get a samba service running over a cluster. For the client it is transparent to witch server he connects. If a node in the cluster dies, the connection will move with all the states over to another node. I know Samba 3 is not clusteraware, perhaps anybody knows

RE: Drag and drop events. Or: How I learned to takeover the world.
You should open up dragdrop.js in the scriptaculous directory and take a look at the interface for Draggables/Draggable. There is an event for dragStart, dragging, and dragEnd (not by those exact names but you should see them)... sorry I can''t offer more help than just pointing you in the right direction... very busy. Good luck, nice start! The information transmitted in this

CTDB IP takeover/failover tunables - do you use them?
I'm currently hacking on CTDB's IP takeover/failover code. For Samba 4.6, I would like to rationalise the IP takeover-related tunable parameters. I would like to know if there are any users who set the values of these tunables to non-default values. The tunables in question are: DisableIPFailover Default: 0 When set to non-zero, ctdb will not perform failover or

Neuling

Ast/Hyla/IAX Scalability?
Hello everyone- I recently read the thread entitled "Faxing Success Rate on PRI" which dealt with Asterisk/HylaFax/IAXmodem. I'm successfully using this 'recipe' in a few instances on systems with only a couple of analog lines all the way up to a full PRI worth of Iaxmodems. However, I'm finding that I'll need to scale upwards in the coming months and would like to

modem data calls through FXS / FXO digium cards failing
Hi guys, I think I posted on this issue before, but didn't get a response. I've still not been able to resolve the issue. I've got a small installation of Asterisk running one 4 port FXS Digium card and 1 FXO Digium card. I'm having difficulty routing modem call through one of the extensions out through the FXO card. By difficulty, I mean it won't work. The calls

Asterisk on a notebook: Modem = FXO?
Hi, I've got a (maybe stupid) question: I'd like to install Asterisk on my notebook (just to play around with it). Is my internal phone modem equivalent to an FXO port? Hence, could I make phonecalls to my pots-line with it? thanks philipp

dahdi fax catch-22
I've got a Digium Wildcard TDM410P with one POTS line and three extensions. One of the extensions is connected to a fax modem. This kind of works, but there's a gotcha. If I set faxdetect=incoming in chan_dahdi.conf, then incoming faxes do get routed to the modem and this all works, but outbound faxes fail, with a message like this: [Oct 29 21:57:09] WARNING[16732][C-00000000] app_dial.c:
