I have a couple of Polycom phones, bootrom 2.5.0, SIP 1.3.1.0056. Works great with Asterisk when I power on the phone. However, after some time, say an hour, I cannot receive calls on this phone. I can't figure out how one upgrades the boot ROMs for the Polycoms. I've read the wiki, I've checked the docs, I've looked here, there, everywhere; I hoped it might be through the web interface, through DHCP... but I can't see how to do it. Suggestions? Thanks! -Ken

We are having an issue that I have been unable to figure out how to resolve. I think its related to the Polycom Phones and not the Asterisk configuration, but I'm not positive. We have several Polycom 500/501/601's on both a LAN and at employee homes. The problem we are having is if our internet connection goes down the Local LAN phones loose their connection to the Asterisk Server.

From what I know this log show everything working Perfect. I have an extension setup in my extensions.conf for hold music. ext. 600. If I pick up a phone (polycom soundpoint 300 sip) and dial extension 600 I hear the hold music playing. If I call another extension and pick it up and put the call on hold with the hold button on the phone I hear nothing at all. Does anyone have any experience with these phones and getting the hold button to work?

Hi Folks; I just bought a Polycom SoundPoint 500 off of ebay after having spent way too much time trying to get updated sip images for our cisco phones. The phone I bought didn't have an AC power adapter; Could someone please tell me the volts & amps that the dc plug that comes with the phone puts out? Thanks! Mike
