Question on PAP2 linksys showing off-hook
I am using my first PAP2 device from linksys. Used many polycom phones... I configured the PAP2 device with asterisk. I have the registration, thought I was good to go. Plugged in my Valcom 2924 public address analog connection, called the extension and I got busy... very strange I thought. I then looked at the status page of the PAP2 and it says the following Reg online and hook state OFF.

Planning Asterisk
Hello, I'm planning to convert my phone system to Asterisk, as I've outgrown my TalkSwitch system. I have a few questions for experienced * users, most of which can be answered yes/no. Current Setup: - Talkswitch 48NLS (4CO/8Ext) phone system. - One CO line, two Vonage lines, one Voicepulse line connected to phone system - A third Vonage line directly connected to a fax machine - A

Zaptel, Line Impedence and Echo
Hi, I'm not sure if I just missed something somewhere along the way, but I noticed while I was going through the CVS logs that there is an option in the wcfxs module to set an "opermode" - which apparently might help with echo issues around the globe (like the ones I'm seeing - some times). So I'd love to use it and give it a go. Apparently, there are some options that

OT - IP Network Call Recording
Apologies in advance as this is not directly Asterisk related, however I thought I might be able to leverage the experience of particiapants on this listserv for some advice. I have a client who is utilizing Talkswith PBX appliances, which have no native call monitoring/call recording capabilities. They are looking for an additional application, service or appliance that can sit on the LAN, and

Paging unit suggestions
We currently have an Asterisk system that is hooked up to our old paging speakers via sound card, plugged into two amps. Each amp drives up to 8 analog speakers in each warehouse (we have 2). Both warehouses are around 30k square feet. Both have a large number of printing presses. The computer system is that is running Asterisk is around 10 years old and starting to fail. I'm looking to

(Analog Intercom) PagePal by ATT -- was hooked to a Merlin
I'm replacing a Merlin for a client and they have a PagePal Intercom that I would like to reuse. Here is what I know about it: It has a screw-down wires that goto rj-11 (This was told to me over the phone) that went into one of the Merlin ports. I tried bring it up with fxo_ks and fxo_ls (assuming it was analog and autoanswered) but no luck. I would be happy to replace if anyone knows of

Three way calling on outgoing FXO line
I was wondering if anyone is able to use the three way calling features from their telco on the incoming FXO lines to transfer a caller back out to say a cell phone. I am currently moving from a Talkswitch to the Asterisk PBX and one nice feature they have is after 4 rings or so I can have the call transferred to my cell phone using the same line it came in on with three way calling. Just

send Flash via FXO
Hi all, We have an analog line from telco, on which 3-way calling is subscribed to. This line is plugged into an FXO module on a tdm400p. If an incoming call comes in on this line, can */zaptel send Flash to telco via the FXO module? If it could, then an incoming call could be 'transfered' to a cell-phone, for example, with a single analog line. (where 'transfer' is really

question on connecting speakers
Is there an ATA type device out there that has low level audio out for connecting speakers? My asterisk server is in one building, I wish to have speakers in another building and connect them up to a low level audio device that I can call into and speak. Can I connect speakers into the FXS or FXO of a grandstream HT 503? Does that work? I'd prefer not to have a PC setting there (sound

zaptel and low ring voltage
Hi all, Several months ago we built an * box with a quad-FXO tdm400p (REV e/f). >From the get-go, there has been a problem where occasionally (2-3 times a week) zaptel/* will not detect the ringing on a line. (The call will ring through to telco voicemail). The problem is not specific to a single line or FXO port on the tdm400p. I have 2 theories: #1 - the ring voltage for some calls is

Segfault with GridCellChoiceEditor
I have a problem. In my application I have a few Grid objects in a Notebook. The Grid objects are populated via GridTableBase. Certain Grid cells need to have a choice interface (I''m artificially enforcing foreign key constraints). All this works to the point where you try to edit the value for that cell. The choice box renders (i.e. the drop down arrow appears) then the application
