king fm m3u streams
Hi, Thanks, that helps. What I really want however, is an MP3 stream that can play on a WI-FI mp3 player. I know the m3u streams, but they wont play. I can find the stream for the regular KING HD-1, but not for opera or evergreen. M3U is just a playlist file, and can actually specify different types of streams: MP3, AAC, OGG, for example. The Logitech Squeezebox Product Family plays these streams nicely, although you will need to create an account on the Logitech Squeezebox site to add custom/favorite streams which are not in their Directory. This is no big deal though. -greg. ORBAN -----Original Message----- From: Bijan

That's interesting, I didn't know m3u files could do that. Are they built up using xml? Icecast RTP support
Hi, Does Icecast has RTP support for streaming OGG/Vorbis and OGG/theora media files? If so, then please give me some pointers on how to configure my Icecast server to listen to RTP requests. If it's not available, then is the inclusion of this feature, in plans for future release of the product? Thanks -- Subhabrata Bhattacharya

Vignette problem and CRAN policies
Hello, All: The vignette with the sos package used "upquote.sty", required for R Journal when it was published in 2009. Current CRAN policy disallows "upquote.sty", and I've so far not found a way to pass "R CMD check" with sos without upquote.sty. I changed sos.Rnw per an email exchange with Prof. Ripley without solving the problem; see below. The

Bijan- It will play in Windows Media Player 12, however there is a Microsoft bug (never heard of that), that requires you to click on the seek bar to actually start the audio output after you have connected to the stream URL. This only happens on Icecast2 sourced streams, not SHOUTcast, for whatever reason. I am trying to reach Microsoft about this, but so far, have been unsuccessful. I just

Separating Asterisk SIP extensions from dialing each other.
This is coming from an * noob. :) I've got two customers, they both are replacing their phone systems with VOIP, and we need to retain both their existing dialplans. One has 5 extensions starting at 100, and the other has 10 extensions, starting at 100. Is there a way to have the same extension number twice in the same asterisk system ? They will have different incoming DIDs of course.

Asterisk && RTCP
Hello list, I need to know about Asterisk's friendly nature with RTCP. I've phones which support RTCP and they connect to the outer world via multiple carriers. In one of my recent packet traces I've observed that the caller initiated a call with rtcp string in SDP while for the same call dialling our from Asterisk to the carrier has no RTCP string in SDP ! Can anyone please tell why

Work required - modify Asterisk + SEMS
Hi all, I am looking for a developer or developers that can implement the following: - Modify an Asterisk server in order to support one inbound RTP and several outbound RTPs, I was thinking SEMS may provide a very good starting point. The idea is to make a PA system over IP. We do *not* want full-duplex audio. - Implement a client in Qt/C++, that allows to send audio to this platform, and

new version of the Rcmdr package
Dear R users, I'd like to announce a new version, 1.8-1, of the Rcmdr package. The Rcmdr ("R Commander") package provides a basic-statistics graphical user interface (GUI) to R, implemented in Tcl/Tk via the standard R tcltk package. Beyond small changes and additions, the new version of the Rcmdr package uniformly implements a feature, first available in version 1.7-0, that
