asterisk + i4l problems
Hello!
Im pretty new of asterisk world: my goal would be using iaxcomm to call ppl over POTN.
Yesterday i configured asterisk to be able to hear a song (with Playback() command) with
iaxcomm, and it was wonderful.
Now, today i tried to configure asterisk to use my ISDN4Linux supported card (a plain HFC card)
with asterisk.
i configured modem.conf this way, after reading

chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi,
chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and
stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a
passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that
chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and
that chan_misdn is better suited for general misdn

1.2.4/7 and chan_modem
Hi,
I am currently running several * boxes on 1.0.9 with HFC chipset ISDN
modems using i4l's hisax driver and chan_modem.
Will I be able to use my existing chan_modem setup with 1.2.4 or 1.2.7
or will I need to change it to use bristuff or chan_capi?
I want to do the upgrade with as little changes as possible.
Thank you

I am new to this list and i want to greet you all!
I am trying to install Asterisk on a Fedora Core 3 Distribution with a
Digi Datafire Micro V ISDN Card.
I know that I have to use the ISDN4Linux so in modem.conf I set the I4l

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card on i4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hello
I have asterisk running in Red Hat 9 with a cheap HFC card on i4l. I have
choppy sound problems sometimes, and echo problems often. I am using a 2
port Grandstream ATA, Grandstream BT and a Grandstream GPX-2000
I read that changing to BriStuff will fix the echo problems, but have also
read other users say that the only way they solved the echo/choppy sound
problems was using a Fritz ISDN

Struggling with ISDN4Linux and Asterisk config
The card is an ASUSCOM ISDNLink PCI (passive) and the circuit is from
Qwest (in the US). I will be using this circuit only for voice (I'm
doing this because of the poor quality of my POTS lines).
I've compiled Hisax (as a module) into my 2.4.25 kernel, and with
'modprobe hisax type=35 protocol=4 id=hisax' I get the following:

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card oni4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hi,
Bristuff works great with HFC card... your compilation problem may come
from your kernel configuration...
You should check this doc, at least, for the redhat config :
http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm
Then, installation of Bristuff works like as charm !

Incomming calls on Eicon Diva 4BRI Card
Currently we have problems with our asterisk server connect with an
Eicon Diva 4BRI Card to a PBX. Asterisk is running in version 1.0.0 on
RedHat Enterprise Linux 3AS with kernel 2.4.21-4.EL.
The Diva server is running in version 7.5
Can someone help us in reolving the errors with incoming calls?
When we try to call to an extension we get these messages in the CLI:

chan_capi and bristuff
Hi,
Reading from www.voip-info.org, i can see that "Junghann's chan_capi is now
part of bristuff <http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Bristuff> , as of
version 0.3.0-pre".
What does that really mean ?
Shall I understand I can share a Junghanns QuadBRI board between 2
CAPI-enabled software (like a 0.3.0-pre bristuffed Asterisk for instance) ?
If positive, what are the pros and

Problems with zaptel and HFC-S PCI card
Hi list,
Now that I've got my Asterisk server to recognize my HFC-PCI card, I've run
into some serious problems. The first thing I noticed was this message
that would show up every five seconds on the CLI:

mp3 playback (mpg123)
Hi All,
First of all a quick thanks to everyone that has provided me
with hints and tips over the past few days.
I'm still experiencing problems with the playback of MP3s. The
MP3 files will playback but they suffer from "stuttering". mpg123
is installed and plays back the file without problem via the
desktop speakers. (It is definitely mpg123 installed, and not
mpg321)

chan_capi or chan_mISDN vs bristuff
Hi list!
I'm currently using a HFC-S card for my ISDN BRI line with bristuff. The
instability is driving me crazy however.
I'm having continuous problems where inbound calls will not work after
some time of operation (the number then appears as not in use to the
caller) or also outbound calls do not work.
The solution is to unload the modules, stop asterisk, re-load the modules

today I'm recompiling asterisk on a new machine with the same isdn card (not
the same model, the *SAME* card) using CVS downloaded yesterday night.
When I try to start *, it gives me the error:

Diva 4BRI, asterisk and capidrv support ?
Hello,
I acquired a Diva Server 4BRI for an AsteriskPBX system and installed a
2.4.20 kernel modified with the latest eicon capi2.0 support from
www.melware.net.
Capi support seems to work fine: Asterisk+chan_capi answers the calls.
However if I try to use my old isdnutils apps by loading a i4l
compatibility layer then I have the following problems:
- if I use the diva2i4l module and start the

Accessing ISDN with avm bluetooth hardware
Hi *,
This is my first message to this list, so I hope I am not breaking any rule with my post.
My question is the following: can I establish a voice connection over an ISDN interface by using a
bluetooth dongle to connect to the ISDN access point?
Here follow the details:
I have compiled and configured asterisk. Everything seems fine except that when I configure

disappear.
