Help with routing question.
CentOS-6.6 We have a host that has multiple IPv4 addresses aliased to eth0. The primary address is 216.185.71.x and the alias is 192.168.6.x. This host connects to devices on both netblocks without problems. Only default routing is used and it looks like this: #ip route 192.168.6.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.6.x 216.185.71.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src

Samba as BDC in NT domain
I have this problem: there is a subnet 192.168.6.0/24 and the gateway is 192.168.6.1 which has also another nic 172.21.13.123 which belongs to subnet 172.21.13.0 where the PDC of NT-domain is. GW does NAT and it causes that computers/users in subnet 192.168.6.0 cant logon to NT-domain. Is it possible to put Samba in GW machine so that it can be a backup domain controller in NT-domain and it uses

CID not appearing via X100P
Hi Folks, Prior to upgrading my Zaptel sources everything was working fine. I have a X100P connected to my analogue line. The handset port of the X100P is connected to my desk phone's line 2 input. When the analogue line rings I see the CID on my line 2 but not from Asterisk on line 1 via the Cicso ATA. This used to work fine until I upgraded the sources. I get this when watching the

X-Lite problems on basic asterisk setup
I'm trying to setup my first Asterisk setup on a CentOS 5 installation on VMWare Workstation 6. Got two Linksys SPA941s working fine. But X-Lite softphones can't answer phone calls, and when one of them calls on of the Linksys phones they "connect" but neither party can hear hear the other. I noticed that the Linksys phones are connected via Native bridging while the

Help with routing question.
Hi James, Simply remove the GATEWAY line from the eth0:192 interface config :D Then you'll had only one default gateway. And the source IP to all unknown address will be the routeable one. Traffic shaper based on UIDs
Hello! I need assistance to solve my problem related to traffic shaping based on the user ids. The problem: each unix user (of the linux host) has to be limited with incoming channel (internet) bandwidth. I need this to implement internet access solution based on ltsp (http://www.ltsp.org). As far as I know the best way to shape traffic in linux is CBQ. But there is no filter based on unix

Routing/NAT question
Hi all, I have a strange setup I am trying to get working. Initally I thought I could set it up by just setting up the correct routes. However after thinking about it I have convinced myself (maybe incorrectly) that I most likely need some sort of advanced NAT/routing setup. Below is a description of the networks involved: Local net (192.168.101.0/24) | | Linux machine eth1
