using built-in extension numbers on the ZAP channel
hello, using a legacy PBX to access a Asterisk Zap channel (Legacy PBX FXS --> FXO application Asterisk/TDM400P) I want to be able to "flash" the asterisk pbx. However by pressing the FLASH button on the extension connected to the Legacy PBX gets me the flash features on the Legacy PBX, not on the Asterisk PBX side. I thought of using the following codes (listed below) from

collaboration with Panasonic PBX
Hi. I've searched the archives and found nothing regarding collaborating Asterisk with a Panasonic PBX (TD1232 to be exact) Here's my question: Can I use a Wildcard X100P to connect an outgoing line jack (on the Panasonic) to Asterisk, so I can route calls from the PBX to Asterisk, and calls from Asterisk to the PBX? On the hardware page for the X100P card is says it's great for

Panasonic KX-TD500
Anyone have any luck with connecting Asterisk to the Panasonic KX-TD500. I have Asterisk connected via crossover to the TE110P. We are able to make internal calls into the Asterisk Box but the PBX vendor (I know nothing about the KX-TD500) tells us it is not possible route DID over the trunk. I find this hard to believe. Anyone have any luck with this? Thanks! -------------- next part

Is Asterisk ready for "real" use?
Okay, I am facing a move in two months to newly renovated space. I have to decide *this week* between: A) Pull LAN and phone cables, prepare to move and expand our "traditional" PBX (Panasonic KX-TD1232 and VPS200). or B) Pull only LAN cables, go VoIP, use Asterisk as PBX. It is *not* an option to purchase a VoIP system package from Cisco, 3com, etc. Installers are getting an

ANALOG FXO ZAPTEL & WCFXO & WCTDM module issues seen with intermittent analog lines
Hello, I have found a "bug", I think in the way TDM400P cards handle FXO interface disconnect/re-connect problems. Normally I do keep all the wires connected from my CO / PABX quite securely, but I had a need to re-route the cable from one side of the desk to another, and I simply disconnected the RJ-45 connector and plugged it back in. THIS PROMPTLY RESULTED IN VERY VERY SCRATCHY AUDIO

Zaptel Disconnect Tone
Does anyone know if it is possible to use the following disconnect tone setting with an x100p card? Disconnect Tone: 350@-19,440@-19;4(.25/.25/1+2) This tone was written for a Sipura SPA-3000 for a Panasonic KX-TD1232. The Panasonic does not support disconnect supervision, so this tone is the only thing that will detect a disconnect. It is not a standard fast busy or offhook tone.

Asterisk and Panasonic KX-TD1232
Hello We have around 50 phones in our company, and I am playing with the thought to gradually go over to using sip services and ip-phones internally. However at first I would liked the Asterisk just to sit between the phone line and the Panaosnic, so I can take out one lin/number at a time to use ip phones. I am new to Asterisk, and haven't done much configuring of the PBX either. So I also

pre-installation jitters
hi, we have just received our first shipment of digium cards, FXO + FXS combinations, and collected all the hardware for our custom clone server which will house our test-bed for asterisk. I'm based in Dhaka, Bangladesh so you will understand we may not always be able to get all the hardware we need, when we need them and in the manner that other people are used to.. from a catalog or from a

dialplan selection
Hello, I would like to parse inbound Asterisk IAX2 7-digit numbers in the form of 123-4567 and strip out the first four digits, and then dial whatever number digits remain. If I only have three digits (000-999) and have a mix of channels (ZAP, SIP, IAX2) could someone please point out how I can use a single DIAL command to just dial the extension regardless of the type of channel. .. TE205P, E1, Panasonic PBX and hang-up issues
Hey folks, I have a Digium TE205P working as a man in the middle: PRI line -------- Asterisk/TE205P -------- PBX The PBX is a Panasonic KX - TVP 100. Everything is working great except for one little issue. Asterisk isn't hanging up the PRI B channel when the PBX channel is hung up. I don't want to overload you with information but please ask if more is needed. I suspect I'm

PAP2-NA with Panasonic KX-TD1232 CE
Hello, We use Asterisk with PAP2 and today we connected the FXS ports of PAP2 to CO ports of our Panasonic KX-TD1232. Problem is that Panasonic doesn't ring - that is doesn't ring every time the PAP2 is ringing. When we reset either Asterisk or the PAP2 it usually rings, but after couple of minutes it stops and only the automatic operator is answering - after 2 rings. We tried changing

TDM400P + Asterisk + zaptel timer ?
Hello, I thought that my Digium TDM400P would be the right hardware to support the zaptel timer, and put the following IAX.CONF entry to test, (trunk=yes) in the example below [VHAX] type=peer auth=md5 username=whoknows jitterbuffer=yes ;trunk=yes secret=terriblesecret host=4.5.6.7 qualify=1200 disallow=all allow=ulaw allow=gsm ;allow=g711u ;allow=g711a But, it didn't work. So I had to
