Change Rcode for a meta-analysis(netmeta) to use a random effects model instead of a mixed effects model
Hello, I am writing a meta-analysis on the complication and reoperation rates after 5 treatment modalities of a distal radius fracture. I have a code to compare the complication and reoperation rates. Currently it is using a mixed effects model. Is it possible to change the code so a random effects model is used? Thank you very much, Jay R code library(meta) library(readxl) All <-

Model studies in one analysis using treatment as a five level moderator in a meta-regression
Hello, I am medical student, writing a meta-analysis on complication and reoperation rates after the five most common treatments of distal radius fractures. I have been busy with the statistics for months by my self, but find it quite hard since our classes were very basic. Now I want to compare the treatment modalities to see if there are significant differences. Using R I was able to

The code in your mail in a mangled mess, since you posted in HTML. Please configure your email client to send emails in plain text. Which issue is keeping you from updrading to 1.6.2 ?
Hi, I'm evaluating what could keep me from upgrading production systems to 1.6.2. As 1.6.2 seems pretty close to 1.6.1 but I gave 1.6.2 a try but I met an issue with BLF-pickup which kept me from going further. Have you met other issues I should include include in my checklist ? asteriskdocs.org says 3rd ed. is latest
I made myself look a little silly recently in a talk regarding asteriskdocs.org. I didn?t realize the 4th ed. of the Definitive Guide was apparently actually out (http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920025894.do), because I went by asteriskdocs.org?s claim that it was being worked on in OFPS (now retired, apparently.) Is the 4th ed. available to read online like the 3rd ed. was? Is someone on

Dear Vito, Thank you for your reply. I tried to contact the statistics departement numerous times, but did not receive any reply. That is why I started to look on the internet for help. What happened to the CVS asterisk_stable branch?
A while ago on the download page on www.asterisk.org, there was a stable branch for the asterisk source tree. It seems to have disappeared now, at least the instructions on that web page are gone. What's the story on this? Can we have it back please? thanks __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Mail - Send 10MB messages!

For some reason, its not copying them all and after 5000+ files, it throws out some 0KB files into the file share and exits the process. Do you guys have any idea why its happening so ? Please advise. Thanks Kumar

Echo problem
Hello, We're in the process of setting up an Asterisk server, and are having echo problems. We have a Digium TE110P, and have tried the MG and MARK2 AGGRESSIVE echo cancellers, with a variety of gain levels and training times, and with both trunk and 1.2 branch versions of Zaptel, Libpre, and Asterisk. In all cases, callers from the PSTN hear their own voice echoed back after 1.5-2 seconds;

Tortoise CVS download for Asterisk Docs
http://www.asteriskdocs.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=4 Can I make a suggestion that some documentation is provided for the Tortoise CVS download of the asterisk docs. I've tried every combination and I cant get it to work. I'm assuming it must work otherwise it wouldn't have been listed but for 60 seconds more work it would be a bigger benefit to the asterisk

Dundi Examples
Can someone show me how to set up DUNDi, I will be using it to connect 14 asterisk servers internally. I don't want to use it on the external world. If anyone has any examples of connecting 2 or 3 (if their is a difference) machines in a DUNDi co-operation that would be helpful. Johnathan Falk Network Administrator Clinton Community Schools

quickstart
I have the Asterisk book, it's enormous, the 4th edition as per http://www.asteriskdocs.org/. I'd like to do something like: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+quickstart just to have two hardphones act as extensions and call each other. Is that a reasonable first task? I'm looking for the simplest litmus test for functionality possible. thanks, Thufir

*** Asterisk Sunday News: Conferences on the phone and IRL - "in real life"
Here in Sweden, it's supposed to be springtime. A wonderful time of the year, with sunny skies and wonderful weather. Almost summer. Today, it's not. It's winter all over again with rain and only 3 degrees celsius outside. Better to stay inside and write a weekly Asterisk newsletter :-) This week's topics: ------------------- * Looking beyond Asterisk 1.0/1.1 - what's up? *

If one of the authors is listening: http://www.asteriskdocs.org/html/apas02.html lists usereqphone 2 times. One of the entries should really be useragent. And the example for usereqphone is wrong.
