Newbie: ISDN and Capacity Planning
Hi; I am in the process of planning a PBX/Voice mail system for a business with an ISDN phone system and somewhere on the order of 12 internal phones. The ISDN system appears to be a Primary Rate Interface, though this may be irrelevent because receptionists answer all inbound telephone calls before possibly transferring via the PBX, and most calls do not get transferred. Telephone use

Sum up column values according to row id
Dear All, here a problem I think many of you can solve in few minutes. I have a dataframe which contains values of plot id, diameters, heigths and basal area of trees, thus columns names are: id | dbh | h | g head(ipso, n=10) id dbh h g 1 FPE0164 36 13.62 0.10178760 2 FPE0164 31 12.70 0.07547676 21 FPE1127 57 18.85 0.25517586 13 FPE1127 39 15.54 0.11945906 12 FPE1127

Pager Notification
Hi; Before I tell a customer that this would require custom development I figured I would ask here. Does Asterisk support pager notification of new voicemails out of the box? Or do I need an AGI script to do that? Also, if I want to call a number from an automated program in Asterisk and get the DTMF tones entered by the user on the other side, is there an easy way to do this? Best

iax, trunking, etc.
The majority of sip to pstn gateway providers (vonage, voicepulse, and others) appear to be setup for a one line only type of set up. Their web sites seem to be heavily geared for these one line setups. Anyone willing to comment on what type of pricing plans these providers offer when using iax2 trunking or other methods with asterisk to send multiple (and possibly simultaneous) calls through

Feature request.
Hi, Metacity has a keyboard shortcut for activating the window menu. I thinks it defaults to <Alt>Space. Now that compiz has a "proper" window menu it would be nice to have the keyboard shortcut for activating it. Rationale: Being among those who suffer from latent strain injuries from mouse use, I prefer to use the keyboard as much as possible. I can only speak for myself, but

Weird Over Lapping Asterisk Calls via SIP Phones
I am trying to create an IVR system that uses both POTS and IP phones and I have a few problems that I encountered with the IP SIP phones (Grandstream Budge Tone 102). 1. When a user hits the hook fast enough, the user can create multiple IVR connections that gives the appearance of an echo that is phased a few seconds apart. The way to reproduce this is by hitting the hook fast and furious. The

Cisco 7940 Phones as paging system?
Hi all; I have been searching for an answer to a question that a customer asked me and I have only found a few older answers. So, wanting to find out if anyone has any experience with this issue and can help provide me with some advice. I have a customer which is strongly interested in using Asterisk as a PBX. One of the core requirements, however, is that the system MUST be able to
