CALLERIDNUM not passed over?
When a user dials 999 he is always asked for the mailbox and has to enter his mailbox number and password. As I understand this shouldn't happen because the CALLERIDNUM is passed over to VoicemailMain. It's annoying to have to enter the number everytime ... The voice mail configuration is read from MySQL. We are using the CVS version from a few days ago. Extract from extensions.conf:

Simplified Voicemail app / keeping peace with cohabitants
Hello, I have modified the VoiceMailMain application to satisfy the request of the "local users", i.e., my wife. She lost patience with too many options (we have one mailbox, so we don't need to forward messages, or reply to messages, or file them in 6 different folders...) So the modified app says "Message 1", reads the message, "Message 2", reads...

making * more like a normal pbx (cisco ata-186)
I've done something similar at home, but made my dialplan such that I can dial either 10 or 11 digits locally. I don't use a "throw away" digit at all. Any 7, 10, or 11 digit call will be appropriately mangled and sent out the PSTN / VoIP provider. ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On

tdm400p static - out of ideas
Hello, Over the past several weeks, we have been having an intermittant problem with our deployment of a TDM400P card (4 fxo). ?We have tried many things, and the problem still re-occurs. The Problem: Occasionally (every 48 hours), the TDM400p card will stop answering incoming calls on ALL fxo ports. ?Attempts to send outbound calls on any Zap channel will result in hearing a loud

FC2 zaptel compile failure
I've got a fresh FC2 install and I'm trying to get the symlinks right according to the /usr/src/zaptel/README.Linux26 instructions. I've created two symlinks: /usr/src/linux-2.6 -> /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358 /lib/modules/linux-2.6 -> /lib/modules/2.6.7-1.494.2.2 When I do a "make linux26", I get a million warnings and errors with the result being: make[2]: ***

Hi all, I'm pretty new to linux and compiling modules, but I've scoured the web for help on compiling the zaptel modules from source and I get the following error... make -C SUBDIRS=/usr/src/modules/zaptel modules make: *** SUBDIRS=/usr/src/modules/zaptel: No such file or directory. TDM31B and Zaptel: FXO port not recognized?

Problems building zaptel 1.4.4
Hi, I'm having trouble compiling zaptel 1.4.4 on SUSE 10.1. I'm really only interested in getting ztdummy to work because this is a dev machine with no zaptel h/w. SUSE 10.1 is a 2.6 kernel: asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # uname -r 2.6.16.13-4-default It seems that my problem is related to autoconf.h - I cannot find that file: asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # find / -name 'autoconf.h'

Grandstreams randomly go busy with Asterisk?
I've searched the lists but I didn't find anything exactly like this. I have two Grandstream BT101 phones connected to an Asterisk. Periodically, for reasons that I can't determine, one or the other (or both) of the BT101s decide(s) to go on permanent busy. Dialing that phone gives: -- Executing Macro("SIP/24567-7856", "dialphone|SIP/27654") in new stack

make linux26
I thought I read somewhere that you no longer have to do a special make command for the 2.6 kernel. Is this true, or should I still make linux26? I'm having problems getting anything zaptel to load properly. ---- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions http://www.ics-il.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... format g729 and Voxee.com
Hi, I have just signed up with Voxee.com and have attached my Asterisk server to dial them via IAX2. Below is the start of the log which dials the number and promply hangs up when the call is answered, with the logs saying that the channel is not compatiable. I have traced this down to the g.729 codec which I don't have installed. Any ideas on how to force that the codec not be used?

lguest over qemu
Hi, I'm setting my lguest playing environment with qemu, but didn't have a good start... maybe because my modest laptop only has 512Mb of RAM. Vorbize.c
Are there any attempts currently being worked on to make Vorbize Visual C++ compatable? Or for that matter non-GNU compatiable? I guess I never realized that getopt.h was a GNU thing. What would be the suggested course of action to get vorbize to cross compile on VC++ or other non-GNU platforms? If not I can certainly do this because I'd like to be able to run this on Windows but I

Data File Size Problem
Hi R-Experts, I have a huge data file of size over 100MB, and this is in .dat format. Is it possible to work with this in the current version of R in Windows-XP machine? If not, please let me know the remedy of this. Can R handle large dataset like this? I know SAS is compatiable for this. But i want to try it in R. -- SUMANTA BASAK.
