PRI, multi D channels and conventional PBXs
Hi all
OK this may sound like a good one but maybe someone can tell me.
Simple context is - I want to unplug my existing conventional PBX from the
Telco and place * with it's TE410P in between.
Now the difficult part, the existing connection is E1 PRI (Q.931) with 6
B-channels. I need to be able to trigger a D-channel to the old PBX and a
D-Channel to the Telco (Not BT!).
Next I can put

Asterisks integration with pre-existing PBXs
Several people have asked about integrating asterisk in a company that
currently has a PBX installed. Considering the capital outlay for most
PBXs, depending on the model and age of the system, most companies do
not want to look at replacement.
So, what should one look at in a PBX in order to integrate asterisk into
a pre-existing PBX? I have read of some systems with T1 interfaces, but

FW: Network Magazine 04/04/04 Article pg 19 (Free IP Telephony PBXs?)
The networkmag@cmp.com appears to be broken. I dug around the magazine
contacts and found Doug Allen, senior editor, you can send comments to
dallen2@cmp.com . I didn't get a bounce back from that e-mail so I assume
it made it to the editor.

PRI D-channel errors
Greetings to all,
I am getting the following error on my PRI-connected Asterisk box, and am
just wondering if anyone else has seen this, and if so how they solved it.

PRI D-channel signalling error? "Ring reques ted onchannel 0/1 a lready in use on span 1. Hanging up owner."
Now that's quite interesting - yes, this is a two way span. I thought that
the D-channel negotiation that happens before the B-channel is set up would
have implicitly avoid the glare condition through signalling the
intent-to-use to the resource to the remote end (a-la E&M wink start).
So what seems to be happening in my case is my CPE is set for a 'Descending'
b channel sequence

PRI zap channels not cleared when no match in context for dialed number on inbound call
Could some out there with a PRI check and see if this problem shows up
on your system?
The test is to dial a number routed to * via a PRI where there is no
match in the dial plan for the dialed number.
Asterisk will reject the call, but "show zap channels" still shows the
channel assigned to the number that was dialed under the extensions
column.
The channel WILL answer another call,

Problem with "AT&T Maintenance" protocol in PRI connection, no B+D channels available
Hi guys,
We are experiencing a problem with a T1 PRI connection. After trying a number of variations in the configuration files, the behavior is always the same: no B channels come up and the D channel doesn't appear to be working well. We can see there are AT&T Maintenance messages being exchanged by asterisk and the provider, CONNECT and CONNECT ACKNOWLEDGE, but that doesn't

Is there a straightforward way of getting a vector containing the minimum (or maximum) value of each row of a matrix?
Thanks

PRI zap channels not cleared when no match incontext for dialed number on inbound call
I se what you are talking about I an able to reproduce!!!
However your PRI may be in a Round-Robin picking order, that would cycle
through all of the channels until it reaches an end and then it repeats.
I set our PRI to first available hunting instead of RR and it will use
the same channel over and over again regardless if the call exists.
If anything it's a feature!!!

T1 vs PRI
Hi,
I'm buying an interface for my Toshiba DKT424 to connect to *. Initially it
is a trial to route internal calls over our wan. Think of it as a tie trunk
between 2 pbxs. I expect to get PRI from the telco our layout will be like
this:
telco_T1_PRI to * to various PBX or TDM or IAX to * to other pbxs
My question is, is there benefits to connecting with PRI over a standard T1

Trouble accessing cov function from stats library
Dear all
I am trying to use the cov function in the stats library. I have no problem using this function from the console. However, in my R script I received a "function not found" message. Then I called stats::cov(...) and received an error message that the function was not exported. Then I tried stats:::cov (three colons) and received the error

PRI zap channels not cleared when no matchincontext for dialed number on inbound call
But it does indicated that a variable is staying assigned that should
not be, which could have other impact over time???
The behavior is very different for c call where there is a dialplan
match for the dialed number, when the call completes the channel
extension variable is cleared.
If you do not mind please ad a bug note that you experienced the same
thing! The bug marshals think I am nuts.
