Chris you might know the answer to my HUUUUUUGE problem A few weeks ago you posted this message: "I have an ISDN PRI supplied by NTL (ex Diamond Cable, Nottingham) which is currently working happily with an SDX Index phone system. I have to replace this phone system shortly and I've been trying to get a * system working for some weeks now. I have configured the dial plan (which works)

UK ISDN PRI Problems
Advance apologies for the length of this mail; I have an ISDN PRI supplied by NTL (ex Diamond Cable, Nottingham) which is currently working happily with an SDX Index phone system. I have to replace this phone system shortly and I've been trying to get a * system working for some weeks now. I have configured the dial plan (which works) and all my SIP extensions (which all work) along with

Modems compatible with NTL caller id
I'm looking at using a modem to provide caller ID info on my NTL line following the steps in the article posted by Darren Poulson: http://www.22balmoralroad.net/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=1 I was wondering if anybody had experience of using any modems (can be pci/isa/external) with an ntl line (in an ex. Cable & Wireless area if it makes a difference) and

Anyone know about callerid format used by NTL in Cambridge?
Hi, Does anyone know anything about the callerid format that NTL uses here in Cambridge, UK. This is the former Cambridge Cable, who is sometimes different from the rest of NTL. They did say that only some equipment works with their switch. I hoped that they might use US-style CID, which would work with the X100P, but it doesn't seem to come through. I do notice that my DECT phone bought

T100P-E100P circuit board differences
Hi- Perhaps someone with an E100P in hand can answer this: I just received an E100P from Digium (I normally buy quad boards) I noticed that the circuit board says "T100P" on it, and I assume that the T100P and E100P both use the same circuit board. Can someone please confirm that their E100P says "T100P" on the artwork? Thanks Scott Scott M. Stingel Emerging Voice

NTL Hangup
Hi all, I'm currently on an NTL PSTN line, using Asterisk 1.2 and a X101P cheapo card. The problem lies with detecting when the far end has hung up. It fails to detect it, and will only cleardown when the silence timeout has been reached. Now, I've seen the thread at http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users@lists.digium.com/msg32337.html, to which nothing has come of it. That was

Darren, yes, I'd be happy to help. I'll contact you off list to sort out the arrangements. I should warn you that it may be a wasted journey for you, as I really dont know if it will exhibit the problem. Tim. TE410P lights don't blink read after the module is loaded
Greetings, According to the FAQ "When you load the module and have no circuit/channel bank the LED's should flash red" I get the "knight rider" lights before the module loads, but after the modules are loaded I don't get any lights, other equipment plugged in or not. The card has been on my shelf a while so I wonder if it needs a firmware upgrade ? Can the cards

UK install
Well I'm slowly learning my way around asterisk although as yet I haven't had the chance to actually hook the system up to an ISDN line. I am going to migrate from an Argent Office setup. My only problem is keeping costs down on the phones. The Argent system is running about 30 POTS phones. Can someone suggest the cheapest option? Should I get some kind of large scale FXS box or would

Help - Received response: "Forbidden" from'"Unknown"
I did a NoOp and see what the callerid was and when coming from the SIP Ext->Voip it is set to the Extension Number of the SIP Extension (as you would expect). When coming from the Panasonic the CallerID is blank, I tried setting it to nothing again, and I tried setting it to the callerid of the voip provider, a sip extension id, the extension number on the Panasonic side, the zap channel

X100P and NTL (ex Cable + Wireless)
Firstly, let me just say I am new to asterisk and if anything I've said is covered in an FAQ or in previous posts I apologise but I have tried searching and I've attempted a few of the things I found but they didn't help. Has anybody got any experience using an X100P on an NTL phone line in the UK (I'm in an ex Cable & Wireless area if that makes any difference). The

e100p and E-bit alarm indication
We connected an * box with an e100p to an E1/PRI from a telco here in Italy. After we had it working perfectly the telco told us that, despite the circuit appeared to work fine, and we could place calls on it, they had an "E-bit2 alarm indication constantly on that caused the circuit to be flagged as "faulty" every time. (The E-bit indication, is an alarm sent back from us to

PRI hangup certain outgoing calls
I have a problem calling a certain number from our PRI line. Calling the number from a separate PSTN phone works fine. The remote number seems to have some funny call redivert setup, when you call it, it answers immediately, makes some kind of beep and then starts to ring. Our PRI is in the UK from Telewest/NTL/Virgin Media and most outgoing calls work without a problem. The server is

PRI error (HDLC Bad FCS)
Hi, We currently have an Asterisk box (P4 2.4 Ghz, 512Mb RAM, 1 T100P, Zhone Channel Bank and 1 E100P) connected to an ISDN running without any problems. That machine is working for about 1 year. Two days ago, we decided to switch that machine for two PowerEdge 600SC (HA) and we got some problems. The running machine (P4 2.4Ghz) has an Intel motherboard with four 32-bit 3.3v PCI slots,

DASS2 support
My employer wants to use Asterisk, but the E1 circuit providing the current phone system is DASS2 rather than ISDN30. Converting the E1 to ISDN30 is not a practical proposition at this time as it'd stop the legacy phone system from working. Is there any sort of hardware support for DASS2? I speculate that the E100P should be able to deal with the electrical side of it, but I'm unsure of

[Q]: Dialin problems over E1 on a Digium E100P
Hi.... Apologies for the length of this, but any help would be greatly appreciated ;-)... I have installed and configured a Digium E100P on my Asterisk PBX and I have connected this to an 8 port E1 VoIP gateway on a Cisco 6509. There is also an external E1 link from our Telco plugged into one of the other ports on this gateway and this gateway is in turn registered with a Cisco CallManager
