Question on setting up MeetMe conference bridge
So I setup the MeetMe application in Asterisk Assigned an extension to it. When one of my SIP phone dials the conference extension, they get a message "you are the first one in the conference", so far so good. When the 2nd SIP phone dials the conference extension, they get a busy signal Now I know that you have to have a Zapta device to enable conference application. I have an X100P (1

Meetme scalable to 300 people?
Hi everyone. I am looking at providing a conference for up to 300 people and was wondering if anyone has scaled meetme to 300 people. Here are some points: 1) I am using an IAX2 gateway hosted on a VOIP service provider. 2) The machine is hosted at the providers site so one has to assume that bandwidth is not going to be an issue. 3) Everything is coming in as ULAW so we won't need to

Manager events logic depends on channel type?
Apparently there are subtle diferences between meaning of MeetmeJoin event depending on channel type. Problem is: after originating a call from channel to MeetMe room i.e.: [meetme] exten => 1,1,Answer exten => 1,2,Meetme(kolejka|dqM) than: Context: meetme Exten: 1 Priority: 1 ActionID: 1077925740-00000004 Timeout: 5000 Action: Originate Async: true Channel: somechannel I get eventually

Empty Wildcard TDM400P as a MeetMe timer.
I've just moved into 3.3v PCI servers and found that my clone X100P cards were lying about the 3.3v supported notch. Can I use a Wildcard TDM400P without any modules as a timer for MeetMe in a 64 bit 3.3v server? Will I still need to plug the hard disk power cable into it? Is there a better cheaper 3.3v MeetMe timer? (Boss doesn't trust the kernel timer.) -HJC

Mixing meetme conferences
Have anyone experienced mixed meetme conferences? Im running a 12 seat call center outbound only. Asterisk 1.2.8, SIP/ulaw at the phones, SIP/ulaw to the SIP terminator. Problems with MeetMe accepting conference PIN
Hi, I know this question may have been asked before (although the archives don't seem to suggest it), but has anyone had any problems with Asterisk accepting a PIN number for a conference room. At this point in time I have established the conference definition in the meetme.conf file as well as specifying the appropriate lines in the extensions.conf file. meetme.conf file: conf =>

No data when recording a Meetme conference with Monitor
I'm trying to record a Meetme conference to disk, but the Monitor application doesn't seem to play nicely with Meetme. In extensions.conf, I have this: exten => 1000,1,Answer exten => 1000,2,Monitor exten => 1000,3,Meetme This starts up the monitoring OK, and it records the prompts that Meetme gives, but as soon as the user enters the conference, the -out WAV file stops

Zap channel(s), meetme and codecs/licences
Hi all, Some simple questions about codecs: What codec does the Zap channel use by default? Can this default be changed, and to what? (g729 too?) What codec does meetme use? (I think this is ulaw, but asking to be sure) Can you use another codec, or does everything have to be transcoded to ulaw? Finally ... if I have a 3way call going, between 1 g729 caller and two other callers, do I need one

Dynamic meetme conference creation with Authenticate (Asterisk 1.4.0)
I'm trying to use the password entered with Authenticate to create dynamic meetme conferences with the following dial plan: exten => _XXXXXXXXXX18467,1,Authenticate(/etc/asterisk/meetme.pw|a) exten => _XXXXXXXXXX18467,n,MeetMe(CDR(accountcode)) ; 281-8467 However CDR(accountcode) is always being set to 1022 no matter what password is used. The passwords are stored in a file so they can

Call someone to instantly join conference using MeetMe
Hi, I was just wondering how would the application be where the Asterisk calls a number and that number joins the conference as soon as the call connects. There would be only one conference already defined in meetme.conf and there is one person already joined the conference. Currently MeetMe requires a person dialing into it and the joining the conference. How could this be done using MeetMe or

Jittery meetme conference using Linksys 942 phones
We have two Linksys 942 phones which sound great when they call each other directly through Asterisk. But when they both dial in to a meetme conference room, the sound is very jittery. Other phones like Polycom 501 and Snom 360 sound fine when using meetme. Both Linksys phones are set to use the default g711u (ulaw) codecs. Adjusting the jitter buffer and jitter level settings to various values

meetme with review of the entered conference number
Hi there, I'm using asterisk meetme function like: exten => 9070,n,MeetMe(|dcM) and everything works pretty well. But I would like to add a review of the entered conference number before the user jumps into the conference. Somthing like: *:"Please enter the conference number followed by the hash key" (works) U: 123456# (works) *: "You are entering conference number

meetme conference latency degrades...
We have recently started making more frequent use of the meetme conference of our * system. We are using v1.0.8 with a 2.6.11 kernel on our system. We generally have 4 callers in it: two with the gsm codec and 2 with g729. Initially, the conference works fine and there is little latency. After about 15min., though, the latency is very noticable and by 25min it's unbearable. If we all leave

Limit the number of users in a meetme conference?
Hi - I found the "maxusers" defined in meetme.c, but I'm not sure how this value is set. Does anybody know if one can limit the number of users permitted in a meetme conference? I know there's MeetmeCount(), but I'd rather avoid the dialplan logic and just set maxusers instead. Thanks, Noah

meetme conference password and time limitation
Hello; We need to have admin page, so the administrator can create passwords to be used to join the meetme conferences and can determine the allowed time ..? Well, the admin interface can be done easy (I do not know if there is something ready), and the password and the time limitation can be added to the database (or even text file), but how asterisk can use it? Do I need to use the AGI to

Problem with MeetMe Conference!!!
Hi all I want to use conference in Asterisk. I configure a conference room in meetme.conf (as conf => 600,1234) and extensions.conf as (exten => 600,1,MeetMe(600,i,1234)) .
