Cisco 79xx XML Apps (was: Re: Cisco Directory Format)
Do you know where to find clear developers' guides (with some examples) for developing apps that run *on* Cisco 79xx phones (especially the 7970)? Examples that can run against Asterisk (not CallManager) with SIP firmware (not SCCP), and/or LDAP directories (or other open servers) would be best. ExtensionState problems using Manager.conf API
This is my first attempt to write software of any sort. What I am trying to is to use a .php page to query asterisk Manager and get the ExtensionState for each particular extension. Then when it has the answer it outputs an XML file for use as the directory on a Cisco 7960 phone. What I am thinking is that when the user hits the directory button to veiw the directory that is at this URL it will

Has anyone else has experience or success with this ? Cheers, Adam ********* DISCLAIMER ********* This message and any attachment are

aio_pthread on Debian?
Hello list, I am looking to enable samba aio on my Wheezy test box (I have version 4.1.17 from back ports). The output of smbd -b shows that the stable packages for my distro are not compiled using --with-aio-support. It appears that without recompiling I can use vfs objects = aio_pthread to achieve a similar effect? I'm aware that this somewhat dips into Debian specifics, but I figured

setting up 7940
I'm starting out w/ a Cisco 7940, running the Sip image version 6.3. I've downloaded/installed asterisk via cvs. I've set the phone up to get its info via dhcp - the dhcp, tftp, astericks box & phone are on the same network. I've gone through and setup a test account per the instructions @ http://voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+phone+cisco+79xx but time I do a sip show

logon path question
This link: http://us3.samba.org/samba/docs/man/smb.conf.5.html#LOGONPATH States that: "Windows clients can sometimes maintain a connection to the [homes] share, even though there is no user logged in. Therefore, it is vital that the logon path does not include a reference to the homes share (i.e. setting this parameter to \%N\%U\profile_path will cause problems)." I am still

Converting 7905G to SIP
I am trying to convert my 7905G to be SIP based and seem to be running into a few hassles. Below are all the config files and logs from the server. I have tried to follow the pdf's from cisco and some posts from other mailing lists that google turnedup, but it seems that nothing is working. Am I somehow missing a fundamental step in trying to upgrade from Call Manager to SIP? Any help is

Any suggestions for an IP phone?
Hi all, We are in the process of selection IP Phones to work with our *new* Asterisk PBX. We want to buy 4 for something less than 1000$ but with a nice set of features to work with our mail box, lines, good sound quality, full duplex (and maybe speaker phone). Any suggestions for something with good voice quality and not much troubles to setup with Asterisk? Voici quality is the most

[LLVMdev] Machine Code for different architectures
Hi Johnny, Thanks for this - particularly the tip about cfe-dev. I'm currently trying to coerce lldb to debug these type of architectures (our current toolchain already outputs good dwarf info). However, I'm struggling since lldb has just assumes that the size of a byte is universally 8-bits. At some stage, I *think* at some stage we'd like to derive a compiler, from the "same

residual plots for lmer in lme4 package
Hi, I was wondering if I might be able to ask some advice about doing residual plots for the lmer function in the lme4 package. Our group's aim is to find if the expression staining of a particular gene in a sample (or "core") is related to the pathology of the core. To do this, we used the lmer function to perform a logistic mixed model below. I apologise in advance

[LLVMdev] Machine Code for different architectures
Hi Patrik, Thanks for this note. It's encouraging to read there has been some provision made for non-8-bit bytes. I'm not a compiler/backend expert, (although maybe I'll need to be soon!), so I won't look at the patches right now, however may at some stage in the future myself or colleague may request these patches from yourself. Yes, our 24-bit architectures have non-power-of-2

aio_pthread on Debian?
Hello Volker, Thank you for the reply. I've seen your name mentioned several times against this topic :-) >What effect do you have in mind exactly? Read/write is done >asynchronously these days without that module as long as the >build detected pthreads. This is the thing... it looks like the Debian packages (stable + back port) are built without the --with-aio-support (at least
