Re: Applications of TDMoE "critch"
Juan, I dont see people here with "attitude" or any need to shut down this list as you suggested. Contrary to your experience, I find people to be quite helpful here. Steven's comment "Start here and then ask a real question" is definitely not arrogant IMHO. He is just trying to knock some etiquette on Luan. Besides, he did give him all the answer Luan was looking for.

Two character searchs don''t work
If we try to query a field with a_a_f with two characters in it, nothing is returned. "Move or shake" If I do "Move shake" it works. It seems like anything that has a two character word in it, doesn''t get returned with a_a_f. Any help would be great! -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

stage left and right effects
Here are two effects (with a common base) that perform a stage left/right effect. The effect is named after the Hanna Barbara character Snagglepuss. :) It shakes the contents briefly and then jets off (stage) to the left or right. I used the Shake effect as a guide to this one. The StageBase accepts the element and an "amount" to initially shake the element by. So in

form_remote_tag and redirects
I would like to have a login box setup so that if incorrect info is submitted, the box "shakes" via Effect.Shake. If the correct information is submitted, I want to redirect to some other page. The only solution I''ve found is the following, which is pretty ugly, as it displays the javascript I''m invoking on the page prior to the redirect. Here is the code: The Form

image replacement (new Effect.*****) problem
Here''s what I''m trying to do. I have two divs, one holds about 20 small images of products and the other holds a single large image of one of the products. I''m trying to use the jazzy "new Effect." way of changing images but I can''t seem to get it too work. My script is replacing the image and then making the element disappear. What

shake rattle() and roll
Graham, nice package this :-)-O. It was easy to set up MySQL but I struggled immensely to get the stock ODBC working with PostgreSQL (8.3), which has been discussed on the mailing list before (Prof Brian): Warning messages: 1: In odbcDriverConnect(st, ...) : [RODBC] ERROR: Could not SQLDriverConnect 2: In odbcDriverConnect(st, ...) : ODBC connection failed aka (DBD::ODBC in Perl) Missing

Cisco PRI no CallerID
* --> SIP --> CISCO --> PRI --> PSTN The PSTN sees no callerid. *---> PRI[zaptel]--> PSTN Callerid is there... which makes me think it's the cisco, not the PRI/PSTN/telco. CISCO PRI--> * PRI [zaptel] Callerid IS there... which makes me shake my head in disbelief, because * can see clid from the cisco pri, but pstn doesn't... but when * sends info on that pri,

fax detection: false positive
Hi guys, I just moved from Asterisk release 0.5.0 to CVS 2003-12-22, and after overcoming a few changes in my configuration, I encountered one problem that I couldn't shake that was working fine in 0.5.0. It's the fax detection. I just have a simple extension setup like this: exten => fax,1,Dial(Zap/4,30,tr) exten => fax,2,Hangup in my main incoming context. This used to

eager to learn how to use "sapply", "lapply", ...
After a year my R programming style is still very "C like". I am still writing a lot of "for loops" and finding it difficult to recognize where, in place of loops, I could just do the same with one line of code, using "sapply", "lapply", or the like. On-line examples for such high level function do not help me. Even if, sooner or later, I am getting my R

[LLVMdev] Byte code libraries and linking
As I have explained in another thread, I am in the process of porting portions of newlib to LLVM. The target system has no operating system and a custom processor which may be changed from compilation to compilation. We intend to use LLVM as the front end and generate target specific code from LLVM byte code. For various reasons (whole program optimization being one of them), it would seem to

[LLVMdev] Byte code libraries and linking
To follow up on my own post: > The only concern here is that this brings in all of libc, but I > suppose it should be easy enough to run dead code elimination on > linked.bc to shake out the unused bits? Cursory browsing of LLVM optimization passes did not turn up anything directly applicable, at least "opt -adce" and "opt -globaldce" did not reduce the size of the

Crippled file list on samba 3.0.23-c2. Debian Etch x64 (files randomly not showing up)
Hi there people. My first post here at the list so I hope I havn't made any misstakes so far and that I can write in such a way so you people understand me. =) The problem I have is that when I list folders on disks mouted with "mount -t smbfs ..." the file lists of folders are crippled. What I mean is that files are randomly missing in the lists even if they are there. A refresh

User/group enumeration range not being used
Hi all, Samba newbie again...I thought I was sorted out yesterday but a few more thing are plaguing me.... I have in my smb.conf: idmap uid = 10000-20000 idmap gid = 10000-20000 and winbind enum users = yes winbind enum groups = yes however, 'getent passwd' shows users within the default enumeration range (ie:16777550 or something like that!).This goes for groups too. I can't

considering additonal server software
Over the years I have used the following list of programs to monitor my servers. (Yes, there are more ways to monitor servers than "you can shake a stick at" than these but they are fairly basic programs, I think.) Postfix (to forward root email to external email address), Smartmontools, and apcupsd (control APC battery backup.) Now that I am running a DC and member server I would

Any estimate on when the next beta will be released? I'd like to incorporate Nils' VC2005 work into my project and try to help shake out any bugs there.
