Digium FXO Card
Hi, I wish to know if GNUGk can work with * running as a gateway with the Digium FXO card. Kindly share your experiences in case there are some issues which one must know before going in for such a setup. Also, I've been reading about the DialTone detection capability by the hardware in different countries. What are the issues with it? Thanks & Regards, Deepak ----- Original Message

Re: [Asterisk] GSM access
Hi Mark Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this? Are there any phones which provide voice through the serial connection? What about the nokia card phone - does it have open source drivers? Hi all, sorry for the OOT. I've been trying to setup a sms gateway for a couple of sleepless nights now. GSM modems
Hi all, I am interested in interfacing a GSM modem to *. I've seen a few comments about doing this, but I'm not clear whether people have actually made it work. I've used GSM modems for various data jobs, mostly high volume SMS (no, not nasty marketing stuff - high volume solicited SMS :-) ) . These only have analogue ports for voice. Does anyone know of units with digital voice

asterisk and gnokii on same server: scratchy sound
Hi, Has anyone tried to use gnokii to send/receive SMS messages via serial or USB with AT commands while running Asterisk? Some of my calls have a "scratchy sound" once in a while. It doesn't seem to be due to packet loss but some kind of interference (CPU is ok, etc.). I've noticed some coincidence in time between this scratchy sound and the gnokii process. I have a bash

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi, You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga. Test fixture syntax
OK, I know I''m doing something bone-headed, but I can''t for the life of me figure it out. I''ve read the test fixtures Rdoc about eight dozen times, and it says (to me) that if I have a YAML fixture file, dogs.yml that looks like this: fido: id: 1 breed: Terrier fifi: id: 2 breed: Poodle Then I can include fixtures :dogs in my functional test, and

problem with redirect_to() and VirtualHost
I''m running into a problem with redirect_to() and Apache''s VirtualHost facility. I have probably have something set up wrong, but I''m not even sure how to approach the problem. Background: We have DNS set up to return the domain''s address for all sub-domains. So, "dig xyz.cfcl.com" returns the same IP address as "dig cfcl.com".

Grandstream phone from speaker phone back to handset
I have problem to change from handsfree mode to handset mode. When I switch from handset to handsfree while waiting for connection I press the green speakerphone button once. It is all well. Once it is connected I don't want to give the called party too much echo and I want to switch it back to handset. If I press the green button again I lose the call. Anyone knows whether it is possible

GSM phones, bluetooth and general happiness
When I installed my first home-PBX three years ago, I was looking at "cellsockets" -- devices which will accept certain cellular phones and provide an RJ11 jack, generating the ring-voltage and recognizing DTMF, which in turn makes your cell-phone look like a CO line. Pretty cool stuff, in theory, but it just didn't seem to be worth the cost, especially since it locks you to a

snom 190 (etc.?) dialscript for * debugging and kaddressbook
Thought I might just as well share these scripts, they may work with other phones too: ######################################################################## *1)* Dialing from the KDE 3.5.5 address book works with a script that gets triggered from the kaddressbook (Settings - Script Hooks - Phone) with my command snom_dial_number %N The script snom_dial_number itself goes like this:

Help making gnokii (cvs version) rpm for CentOS 5
Hi, I'm trying to package gnokii (using FC6 SRPM as base). I can build it without problems, my problem is that I want to upgrade it from CVS version. I download the cvs version (from cvs, because "current" tar.gz appears to be broken) but ... ?How can I convert this CVS version to a "peseudo release" to make a diff from 0.6.14 and add the patch into the SOURCES? Thanks
