SuSE & Zaptel Compilation errors
Hi,
Thanks for giving me a detailed reply on hardware needs steven.
I have been looking at the archives in detail and found a few people have
had problems with zaptel compilation on suse(kernel-source-2.4.19.SuSE-342
// gcc 3.2.2 ) ... is shifting to red hat the only viable scenario...would
be a pain cuz suse comes with sun java desktop system( just bought it !! )

make error for zaptel
Hi,
I'm running SuSE 9.3 fully updated using YOU and I *have* re-booted the
box (in a hope to sort out the uname -r issue mentioned below).
I'm using the Asterisk Doc Proj vol 1 to guide me through the initial
setup. I have no special HW and intend to use asterisk on an internal
network just to get some experience.
I have downloaded what I think I need and placed it in /usr/src (see

chan_dahdi unknown dependency problem
So, I've compiled and installed libpri-1.4.11.5,
dahdi-linux-complete-2.4.1+2.4.1 and asterisk-1.6.2.17.1, but chan_dahdi is
not getting built. If I do a "make menuselect" in asterisk I see it listed
with XXX, meaning that dependencies are not met.

Downloaded the latest files from digiums ftp.
First I unpacked zaptel. I am doing everything as root. Then I just type make. Here is what happens:

Problems with CentOS ztdummy kernel 2.6
Hi List,
I am having some trouble with installing the latest version of ztdummy on a
CentOS Kernel 2.6 system.
I have installed a few Asterisk systems on Slackware Kernel 2.4.x without
any issues, unfortunately there is no choice about this distro, or kernel as
it has been preinstalled by someone else. And so I am in the dark with an
unfamiliar distro and kernel.
I am fairly sure the

Zaptel comple on FC2
I wouldn't normally post this to the asterisk mailing list but I'm
really stuck...
I've been trying to get meetme working on and off for a few months now
but I always hit a brick wall when trying to compile.
I keep seeing this...
make linux26
cc -I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DSTANDALONE_ZAPATA

Install X100P and TDM400P Asterisk cards!
Hi!
I currently have the X100P and TDM400P Asterisk cards. For obtaining
Asterisk PBX: I have no direct connection to internet, so I use ftp and
download the neweast packages: zaptel-0.7.0, libpri-0.4.0,
asterisk-0.5.0.
The environment I compiled the tool:
PC (HP): Intel PIII 500 MHz
OS: Red Hat Linux 8.0 (Upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7.1).
When I compile the first package (zaptel-0.7.0), I

DAHDI Dummy for Linux VServers
I'm running dahdi on the host system, and have added the /dev/dahdi/
devices to the guest vserver as recommended in Beave's "Virtual Private
Asterisk" whitepaper (http://www.telephreak.org/papers/vpa/).
I tried copying libtonezone.so and libtonezone.h to the guest, but I
couldn't anything to replace zaptel.h in DAHDI souce (it seems dahdi.h
was deprecated?).
I need to

ztdummy compile again
Hi,
I'm still strugling with getting an easy to use conference system
implemented. I did have app_conference running, but today I upgraded
asterisk to 1.0.9 and it stopped working. I've tried following the
instructions for compiling app_conference on 1.0.7 but it didn't work.
So I went back to ztdummy (I've not had any luck getting this to compile
on FC2).
Anyhoo, I've

zaptel make problems (long)
I know that this subject has been treated in the past!
As a matter of fact reading some old messages about compiling zaptel I
made a couple of tests after the first compiling failure to understand
why I can't compile on a specific machine, but I do not know how to
handle the results.
The machine has SUSE 9.3, and an updated kernel (2.6.11.4-21.7-default;
as shown below). YAST (the graphical

Debian way of compiling zaptel kernel modules
I ran "apt-get -b source zaptel-source" to download and compile the zaptel
source.
It successfully compiles and builds the following packages:
libtonezone-dev_1.0.2-2_i386.deb
libtonezone1_1.0.2-2_i386.deb
zaptel-source_1.0.2-2_all.deb
zaptel_1.0.2-2_i386.deb
None of them contain the kernel modules.
Is there a way I can get it to compile the kernel modules?
Thanks,
Geoff

Re: zapata with Tiger3XX compilation error
Ok so I read the Linux 2.6 related README and finally
compiled propperly, I thought but at the end I notice
that lscpi does report the cards, but I cant modprobe
wcfxo nor zaptel and I do have wcfxo.ko in the
/lib/modules/2.6.8/extra/ directory, so what gives?
This is a Debian Sarge, thanks!
