Hi, Is it possible to pick the context of a call from chan_sip based on the domain of the To: header of the INVUTE? I've had a quick look throught he code and can't see anything, I want to use the voicemail virtual hosting with chan_sip. Can the sip domain be picked out with a global in extensions.conf? This woud also solve my problem. If not is there any specifc reason/restriction

some success with linux 2.6 and wcfxo
Hi , I picked up a x100p the other day and thaught I'd havea go at getting the driver going for linux 2.6, things have gone pretty, two basic problems. 1. makefiles, with 2.6 you can't get away with using the old makefile to build the kernel modules, they will build but you'll get an error along the lines of "no module found in object". This is due to not using the new

Stupid passwd tricks: User with blank GECOS can''t change passwd
I have discovered that a user who has a blank GECOS field in the passwd file under RedHat 4.0 (Colgate) is unable to change passwords. Running the passwd command goes like this: [user@host user]$ passwd Password: [entry of old passwd] New password: [entry of new passwd] [user@host user]$ echo $! 1 [user@host user]$ Setting the name field in the GECOS seems to solve this problem. What will the upgrade to 5.2 be like?
I have a few servers that I really have to build already. Got to buckle down and get it done; no more waiting for 5.2 as a 'reason' to put it off for another day. I will be building a local repository for 5.2 as soon as the ISOs are posted (well as soon as my 768Kb DSL link will allow), so what am I looking at for the 'cost' of the upgrade?

Asterisk crash on AGI
Hi I've just started to play around with AGI scripts and have run into problems. When I run Asterisk in console mode everything works just fine. If I run Asterisk in 'regular' mode (not console) it crashes if I hang up on the script. I have used Python scripts to test this and also the "agi-test.agi" script. (the Asterisk code was compiled from CVS code just a few days

URLS and Human Factors
This post addresses URLs generated by Ruby on Rails from a human factors point of view. Allow me to use Hieraki as an example. Hieraki is a great application. It was one of my first introductions to the power of Ruby on Rails. Scenario: When I navigated to Chapter 1 of a book the URL in my address bar was http://www.library.com/read/chapter/6. This inconsistancy ("Am I on Chapter 1 or

My Rails Day entry: internet command line
Well, my entry for the 24-hour Rails Day competition is here: http://yubnub.org . It''s a web app called YubNub that implements the grandiose idea of a "command line for the Web OS". Type "gim porsche 911" to do a Google Image search for Porsche 911 cars. Type "random 1000" for a random number between 1 and 1000. Type "tts David Heinemeier Hansson is

shorter way of coding
Dear R users, I am using the code below to generate a fitted value of b. I have about 300 different values for for y (y1, y2, ...y300) which means I will have to write the code below 300 times to generate the 300 different fitted values for y. Is there a short way of doing that ? Many thanks in advance Mintewab library(mgcv) dat <- read.table("e:/minti's

problems using the thin plate spline method
Dear R users, I am a beginner in R trying to apply the thin plate spline method to my climate data. I used the example in R to do so, and the lines seem to run fine ( I am not getting errors) but I am not getting any output in the form of graph or anything. I got a warning message saying that 'surface extends beyond box'. Any help is much appreciated. thanks minti

If you were to code a marketplace app like AirBnB today, what technology & stack would you use?
So having spent almost a year coding in RoR, I'm thinking of applying "new stuff" that I didn't get to use in my past projects. Keeping in mind that I want to keep improving my skills and experience so that someday I can find that elusive remote RoR job, what would you suggest I use? I have on my list: 1. CoffeeScript 2. Haml 3. Rspec and Capybara 4. Database other than

mangled user_attrs from LDAP
I have setup dovecot to allow users to login using their email address or uid and have found a strange behaviour when the user logs in using the email address for a "username". I am using OpenLDAP for a backend data store with a rather customized schema. This behaviour occurs for both POP3 and IMAP logins. For some users it works as expected, but for others the pass_attrs->user

AGI Test Fails
I've been trying to use the AGI get_data function for some time now, and can't get it to work. Today I reinstalled a clean system with Red Hat 8.0 (I had been using RH9, but was told * had problems with RH9) and downloaded the latest Asterisk CVS to install. I then downloaded and installed perl-asterisk-0.08. I have extension 502 pointed at EAGI(agi-test.agi). When I call that

AGI script sample using bash shell script
Hi, A quick and dirty (aka Rapid Application Developement) AGI script implement using bash shell. No need to invoke a 10MB perl engine to process simple asterisk agi scripts. I found it to be very useful in learning the AGI interface. For example, I learn that AGI won't execute the next command until you read the results from STDIN.
