vigor 2920 problems
One of our clients has a Draytek Vigor 2920- their natted Snom phones behind it are registered to an Asterisk 1.4 server on an external public IP. I've set QOS, bandwidth management and turned off the SIP ALG via telnet but I'm still having some problems with some of the phones losing registration if Asterisk is restarted. I can see the phones sending SIP REGISTER messages, but they

Asterisk with Draytek 2600V
I am unable to get a my Draytek working with our Asterisk server. I can make/recieve calls but get no audio. I have tried the various codecs at the Vigor end but still getting nothing. I looked at sip debug (below) but am new to Asterisk and don't really know what I am looking for. Asterisk works fine with XLITE so I know my installation is ok. Sip read: INVITE

Draytek Vigor 2900 & Asterisk
I'm in conversation with Draytek's pre-sales dept.............. Here's the most recent reply: <Hello, We really don't know of anyone who has run an Asterisk server on a Vigor2900. There are doubtless people around, but it's relatively rare. Most people don't run SIP servers. Regards,> All I want to know is, if I buy one of these routers, will it break my setup or

problem with vigor 2600v
I have recently installed a test Asterisk server but am having problems getting this to work with a Vigor 2600V. I have no issues using X-Lite to connect to Asterisk but if I configure the 2600V, it registers correctly but I don't get any sound at all although calls do seem to connect. The 2600V works fine with FWD and other services so I suspect I am missing a setting but as a user have

ADSL routers with integrated SIP QoS for other devices
Greetings list, Thanks to all who replied to my thread a few days ago "SIP devices with packet loss tolerance". One of the suggestions that came out of that thread was to replace routers at users' premises with ones that support QoS. I've used m0n0wall's QoS in the past with reasonable success, but it's quite a bulky and complex setup for deploying to remote sites which

ADSL Load Balancing
Hi, I've got a client with two ADSL connections for redundancy. Is it possible to set up asterisk to connect to one SIP provider using both adsl connections and load balance between the two connections? Or to use one connection as the main one, and automatically fail over if the first connection drops? Or does this kind of thing need a serious network switch? Thanks Dan --------------

Converting Character Strings into Object Names
Is there a function to convert character strings to object references. For example, I want to name sets of objects based on scenarios and the types of data being stored. So the scenarios might be something like c("a", "b", "c"), the types of data might have names like c("pass.trp", "trk.trp", "cmute.trp"), and I want to assign data to

[PATH 9/12] VTPM mini-os: New stubdom applications
This patch ports 5 new applications to the stubdom makefile structure for inclusion into stubdom domains. While these are required for vtpm-stubdom and vtpmmgrdom they could be used with other stubdom applications. -libgmp 4.3.2 -openssl 1.0.0a -polarssl 0.12.1 -berlios tpm_emulator 0.6.1 -vtpm_manager (from the tools directory) Signed off by: Matthew Fioravante

ext3fs still uses sequential search of file names in directories?
I am trying to determine the optimal filesystem for accessing large numbers of files (25,000+) in a single directory. I have read that ext3fs uses a sequential search algorithm and wanted to verify that this was still indeed the case since this article was published a year ago. http://bulmalug.net/body.phtml?nIdNoticia=1154 <http://bulmalug.net/body.phtml?nIdNoticia=1154&nIdPage=7>

Asterisk crashes my router!?
Hi, Does anybody else have problems like this. I'm in the UK with a 1mb ADSL service from Eclipse. I have a Draytek Vigour 2600 ADSL router. My * box is configured with a public IP address which is presented on one of the switch ports on the rear of the router. When there is some SIP activity, incoming mainly, towards my * box, the router will lockup after a short period?! I've tried

IPSEC tunnel up, but no traffic coming through
Hi all, I finally got my IPSec tunnel from my Fedora firewall system (running Shorewall 4.0.6) to a remote Draytek Router up-and-running, but I''m having difficulties directing traffic through the tunnel. From the output of "racoon -F -f racoon.conf" and the connection status page of the Draytek I can tell the tunnel is UP, but ping and traceroute requests to several hosts

FAQ Wiki
It has been asserted that the use of CVS for maintaining the Shorewall documentation has been a barrier to community participation. To test this theory, Alex Martin has created a Wiki (http://wiki.rettc.com/wiki.phtml?title=Wiki_Shorewall_FAQ) and with the help of Mike Noyes Alex has populated the Wiki with the Shorewall FAQ. Feedback is welcome. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a

looking for input on broadband router with QoS and VPN support
Hi, We're installing an * box next week (pbxtra from fonality) and I'm trying to come up with a solution for remote users that want a phone in their home. I need VPN and QoS capability, wireless support would be a nice to have. Ethernet handoff is fine, i don't need integrated dsl or cable modem... I've been googling and cruising the list and can find bits and pieces

Shorewall FAQ Wiki Online, nearly complete...
Hello, Mike Noyes and myself have populated http://wiki.rettc.com with the shorewall FAQ. This wiki is running MediaWiki, http://www.mediawiki.org. Currently, a couple items are not complete. I have just begun a heavy semester of mathematics/physics studies, and do not have much time to give to this. But, it is online, and seems to be stable. I will keep an eye out for abuse, and limit

Shorewall (Openswan) IPSEC VPN MASQ Problem
Hi, I have setup a IPSEC VPN using Openswan to connect a Draytek router to a CentOS 5.2/Shorewall 4.2.9 firewall. The VPN establishes OK but I''m getting a problem with packets from the left hand subnet getting masqueraded rather than routed down the IPSEC VPN as though they were going out onto the net. I''ve spent the last day searching Google and so far I''ve hit a

Sipura SPA-2000 is shipping, discount for asterisk-users
Some people on this group may have understood from messages posted here that the Sipura SPA-2000 is not currently available for shipping. That is not the case. Voxilla.com has the Sipura SPA-2000 available for immediate shipping, and has had them since late November. The price is $109.95, and it comes with a month of free VoicePulse service with activation fees waived (a $65 value). In return

Best Firewall Suggestions?
Hi, My customer has a outdated firewall that is also presenting a NAT nightmare for getting the Asterisk server reachable from the internet. What firewalls work good with VOIP? I really want to steer away from any ALG supported firewall. I just want a good firewall that works well with Asterisk. Thanks, David Wathen -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
