Voice linmodems and Asterisk PBX
Hello group, Just got this reply from Sasha @ Smart Link, a soft modem chipset company with a very nice attitude towards Linux. BTW, You can check the status of most modem chipsets and Linux support here: http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/dips/roster.html The good news is that the current 2.7.x series supports voice commands and is full duplex, but can only work with one modem. This issue will

isdn4linux
Hello All, I was just after a few pointers. I have just setup my Redhat 9 linux box with asterisk. Internal SIP call working fine. My Eicon ISDN card turned up today so - plugged it in and went through the modem.conf. It reports unable to open /dev/ttyI0 The problem is I have never used ISDN with Linux - let alone a telephony app - and I have no idea even where to start. Some pointers

* & ISDN-BRI-PTP & DID & ISDN4Linux does not show incoming number
Hi, I am using Asterisk on a DSS1 ISDN-BRI with ISDN4Linux (and a Fritz Card PnP). The ISDN-BRI is in PTP-Mode (Point to Point "german: Anlagenanschluss") which is enabled within I4L with "hisaxctrl fcpcipnp0 7 1". Everything works fine except that I can not see the called number/MSN of incoming calls within Asterisk and because of this I can not route incoming calls

ISDN (isdn4linux) DDI
Hello all, does anybody have experiences with DDI on ISDN BRI? I would like to order DDI with 10 or 100 numbers from telco company, and use DDI numbers for direct calling SIP/H323 clients. But I don't know if Asterisk supports it, in archive I found only one answer about it, and I'm not sure. I am going to use it with isdn4linux card. Maybe DDI is called differently in other countries,

I'll try again using my subscribed address... Apologies to the moderators... --- Hi All, I've successfully got SIP and IAX2 working on Asterisk using X-Lite as a SIP phone and talking to a remote Asterisk over IAX2 using G729. I'm now trying to get an ISDN BRI connection working. I have a Traverse NetJet card (http://www.traverse.com.au/) which I currently have working with

isdn4linux delay
I have a weird problem and I cannot put my finger on it. I hope somebody can help me out. Incoming and outgoing calls via the internet go perfectly well. Calls that originate from a SIP or AIX client on the local LAN (100 Mbx) and terminate via a Winbond BRI often (not all of the times, but most of the times) are having a (about) 5 second delay starting from when I say something until the

ISDN4Linux early call progress tones & announcements from the PSTN
Hello, I would like to ask if anyone has solved the problem with Asterisk+ISDN4Linux cards, where there are no call progress tones or announcements from the PSTN when we dial ouot through the i4l card. For the moment, if we don't inject the r option in the Dial command, there is only silence during the call negotiation... Using Asterisk RC2 with Eicon passive PCI 2.01 card... Thanks for

PSTN tones with ISDN4Linux
Hi all, I'm playing with Asterisk and I've already configured all needed .conf files. It works quite well, but now I need your help to tune the system: when I place a call from a softphone to the PSTN, I can't hear directly Telco's tones and I can't use its services, e.g. a mobile's answering machine. I don't know if I have to modify the dialplan or if it depends on my

Intermittent breakage with the ISDN4Linux modem driver
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm having some problems using the asterisk modem driver with an ISDN4Linux card (AVM Fritz). (I realise that it's better to use CAPI, but unfortunately this card doesn't have any CAPI drivers). Every so often the ISDN just stops working (it neither dials out nor accepts incoming calls). Trying to dial out just logs: --

Isdn4Linux and DTMF
Hello all, I currently have an Eicon Diva Client isdn card using i4l. Outbound dtmf doesn't work (and never has), but there has been an annoying problem with false dtmf detection in calls (that could be triggered easily by blowing into the receiver on the remote end). I looked through the list and found two patches that need to be applied - 1 to isdn_tty.c in the kernel, and another to

Basically, what I am using is this: Linux 2.6.8.1: config lines: # ISDN subsystem CONFIG_ISDN=y # Old ISDN4Linux CONFIG_ISDN_I4L=y # CONFIG_ISDN_PPP is not set CONFIG_ISDN_AUDIO=y # CONFIG_ISDN_TTY_FAX is not set CONFIG_ISDN_DRV_HISAX=y

isdn4linux, NETjet, chan_modem help needed
I'm trying to get a basic Asterisk configuration together for ISDN incoming / outgoing calls. I have two Cisco 7905g phones working (at least talking to each other) and have purchased a NETjet-S PCI ISDN card for routing calls to / from ISDN. The state I've managed to get it to is:- -- Executing Ringing("SIP/PHONE2-d557", "") in new stack -- Executing

Struggling with ISDN4Linux and Asterisk config
The card is an ASUSCOM ISDNLink PCI (passive) and the circuit is from Qwest (in the US). I will be using this circuit only for voice (I'm doing this because of the poor quality of my POTS lines). I've compiled Hisax (as a module) into my 2.4.25 kernel, and with 'modprobe hisax type=35 protocol=4 id=hisax' I get the following: Apr 7 10:34:24 dev kernel: HiSax: Linux Driver for
