res parking patch
Ok, a little patch that adds a little functionality to call parking. With that, you can pickup the older parked call, if many are in the parking lot. The default exten to do that is 750, but can be changed by setting "parkpick => exten" on parking.conf , like [general] parkext => 800 ; What ext. to dial to park parkpos => 801-820 ; What extensions to

Re: app_valetparking.c for * STABLE (1.0.X)
Nope ! This is the one that tries to include PRE 1.0.X header file <parking.h>. It cannot compile on * 1.0.X (I have tried also to include <features.h> instead of <parking.h> (as far as I know features.h is successor to parking.h), but still without results). Thanks anyway. app_valetparking.c
Since www.bkw.org seems not to exist anymore (getting response from some hosting provider), does anyone happend to have a copy of app_valetparking.c from www.bkw.org - the one that should work with * stable 1.0.X ? If so please contact me. One that can be downloaded from www.loligo.com dosn't compile with 1.0.X, and SuperValletParking (www.asterlink.com/svp/) seems to be for * HEAD

*8 and SIP
Greetings all, First time poster, Sorry if this has been answered here before. We recently replaced a failed 1.4x asterisk PBX at a customer location. Voicemail access was setup when the customer dialed *8, This worked in 1.4. Now, Running 1.6 (I know it's old I had to load it quickly, And that's what I got working first. It'll get upgraded to 1.8 soon). The strange part is *8 no

Call Parking
Anyone having trouble parking calls? I haven't tried it in a while, but it seems to have stopped working. If I dial 700, I get a invalid extension. I have "include => parkedcalls" in the correct context, and I can dial 701, which tells me no call is parked there. Any ideas? Parking.conf is stock.

Parking extension not working
I have the standard parking.conf but extension 700 doesn't show up in my dialplan.... Why? I can dial 701 which tells me that I don't have any calls parked there. 700 just gives me invalid extension noise.... Should I have extension 700 defined elsewhere? Thanks parking.conf [general] parkext =a 700 ; What ext. to dial to park parkpos => 701-705

Broadcast/Announce app
Does anyone have use for a broadcast/annouce app? I wrote SystemAnnounce which will play a specified file to all active channels (in an UP or bridged state). This was originally to tell users to get off the system, but there are several other uses... I also wrote a new CallPickup and CallPark app, both of which work more as expected (supply actual extension numbers, etc). Let me know if there

How to append custom option to Contact: header on outgoing SIP INVITE msgs?
Hi list, My need is to append a site specific parameter to the Contact: header on all INVITEs exiting * via a SIP trunk. I'd like it to look something like this: Contact: <bob:3125551212 at 10.10.10.10;SITE-ID=us.here> where SITE-ID=us.here is set in a config file that * parses on startup. Or in a Dial() command option? Or I don't care exactly how. :-) It is possible to

Beginner couple of questions
Dear all, I have some questions, I'm sure it's pretty stupid for most of you, but I need you guys to help me. Here are my questions: 1. Music On Hold, it doesn't play any sound on the parked call or hold call. But if I do ps-ax, it shows mpg123 .....( I forgot the exact line). I'm using slackware 9.1 2. I have fxs 3 port, and in my zapata.conf I have included callpickup=1-4,

CallPickup from SIP phone
So I'm having trouble getting call-pickup working. Got a few different SIP phones (cisco 7940's and SPA-841s) all with pickupgroup=0 in sip.conf. I can't seem to get it working. This *is* possible from SIP phones, right? Do I need to add anything to my dial-plan? -- Paul A. Dugas Dugas Enterprises, LLC paul@dugasenterprises.com 1711 Indian Ridge Drive

Length of dial string
Hi all as per the new release notice for 13.33.0 received today - can anyone advise me the max limit of the string to the Dial Command - see * [ASTERISK-27946 <BLOCKED::https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-27946> ] - dial (API): Storage of dialed target uses AST_MAX_EXTENSION when it shouldn't I have been fighting with this issue for months trying to find a solution I

[PATCH] allow announcements in app_dial
Hi. Since a customer requested us that feature, I wrote this little patch for app_dial to allow to play an announcement to the called party, as soon he answers. you can define the file to play in the dial() option, using A(filename). for example: exten => blah,1,Dial(Zap/blah,30,rA(/my/own/announce)Tt) that doesn't break anything ... feel free to blame me for anything bad this patch

portmap & tcpwrappers
I don't know if this is RedHat 5.1 specific, but be aware that the version of portmap distributed is the enhanced (Wietse Venema) version. That's great, except for two things. The first is documented, but easy to overlook: "In order to avoid deadlocks, the portmap program does not attempt to look up the remote host name or user name...The upshot of all this is that only network

What changed in Directed PickUp between 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 ?
Hi, I'm banging my head over this. Usually, I'm using a SIP hardphone feature called "Call Pickup Starcode" to enhance BLF with Directed Call Pickup : basically, SIP hardphone (here a Thomson ST2030S) is configured to send an INVITE message whenever a BLF is pressed while blinking. The INVITE is build with the extension number (attached to the BLF that was blinking and pressed)

Class features in dialplan ?
hey guys I thought I was making progress on my dialplan when I realized that the class features that are available for zap channels aren't available for SIP channels. I see references in the archives to adding pattern matches in the dialplan for CLASS features which has raised a couple questions. 1. Is implementing CLASS like features via the dialplan the currently recommended way to do

OpenSSH_3.0.1p1 disconnects due to bad packet length and corrupted MAC on input.
Hi I'm having huge problems with OpenSSH 3.0.1p1, compiled with OpenSSL 0.9.6b 9 Jul 2001 and running with prngd_0.9.23, it disconnects unexpectedly during client session due to bad packet length and corrupted MAC on input, according to debug anyway. What can cause this kinds of errors? I've verified that both se9104/server and switch runs in 100 Mbit full duplex and switch statstictics

Specifying a view template
I''m new to Rails (and liking it!) and I have multiple controllers, each of which has a method which uses a view template which is identical to what the others use. I would like to be able to have just one template to maintain that they can all use. What is the customary way to do this? I tried using render_action to specify the template explicitly, and it "works". But I

sample configs / load module failure
Hi List, I am trying to locate some detailed documentation and sample configs. I downloaded and compiled Asterisk, and I haven't been able to find much detailed docs on the config files. The distribution I compiled and installed doesn't have any config files, and the handbook is good but doesn't cover all of the configs. Here's my specific problem, when launching Asterisk for the
