Polycom Reboot Script - Please wiki-size me
With my thanks to Brian West and his offering in the thread, "Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Remote reload Cisco 7960" I offer PolyReboot.pl, a perl script for rebooting Polycom IP Phones PolyReboot.pl takes an IP address as a single argument and reboots the phone. You must have a cfg file in the Polycom style, i.e., 00ab00cd00ef.cfg - all lower case. Further, you need to use ftp for

Polycom Reboot Script
Hello, I'm trying to setup the revised Polycom remote reboot script as found on: http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Polycom+reboot+hardphone+script I'm not sure how to use this script, it's just a perl script, so I tried creating an executable perl script and running it, but I get the following: [root@asterisk1 agi-bin]# ./polycom_reboot.pl 192.168.3.205 Checking ARP

Spectralink 8002
Hello, I hope this isn't too off topic, but I'm attempting to set up a Spectralink 8002 Wifi phone with our Asterisk installation, and seem to be running into a brick well (more of a wall than others that have posted their experiences). My problem is that the phone boots, associates with the wireless, grabs an IP (tried static too - same thing), contacts the TFTP server for firmware, then

Cisco remote reboot
Is there a way to remote reboot a Cisco 7940 or 7960 phone via some kind of command? The idea is to force a reboot automatically after changing one of the configuration files. OT - force Cisco phones to reboot
Hello to all Does someone knows how to force the Cisco IP phones (7940 and 7960) to reboot weekly or monthly? I think this would be useful because sometimes we change the configuration settings in the TFTP, but the phone just check the TFTP when he restarts... Thanks Jo?o

SIP REGISTER script
Some of you have unusual SIP configurations, and this SIP perl script may be useful to get remote devices registering with your Asterisk or other SIP server. Most Cisco routers, as an example, are too stupid to REGISTER, so this script would be required to dynamically register them with a remote server. This may not be 100% applicable to Asterisk, since static registrations are possible,

asterisk gui client
I have looked at matt's asterisk gui client at sourceforge. I am not a programmer by trade. The documentation there seems to be a bit lacking. Has anyone have the experience in installing the gui client and may perhaps have a how-to document available for sharing. -- David Kwok Tel: 612 99292086 ext 1002 Iaxtel/FWD # 17001813482 ext 1002 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text

7960 Cisco SIP Phone TFTP Files
Hi all (is a bit of a Cisco question, but perhaps it's already been asked here). I'm trying to setup a TFTP server for dynamic configuration of my 7960 Cisco phones. Cisco docs suggest I download the following files from their web site: * OS79XX.TXT * SIPDefaultGeneric.cnf * SIPConfigGeneric.cnf * RINGLIST.DAT * P0S3xxyy.bin * P0S3-xx-y-zz.bin * dialplan.xml * syncinfo.xml I only

What happened to --desktop geom?
Hey, I'd like to apologize in advance if this is an old issue that everyone already dealt with in some new mechanism... But I compiled today's CVS for the first time in a few months, and when i tried to fire up programs/games with --desktop geom 640x480 (or any other dimensions) I get an "unknown option --desktop" error and the "usage" list pops up. I read the man

Polycom Stop Downloading Config
Does anybody know of a way to tell the Polycom phones to stop trying to download their config? We have some setup for tftp and some for ftp and if they cannot reach the server, they just keep rebooting over and over and over and never stop. I would think it should try once or twice and stop, but it doesn't.

SPA3102 - How to save config in a file
Hi, I've read in this mailinglist archives some notes related to Linksys SPA3102 provisioning but I couldn't find there the answer I'm looking for. Is it possible with this box (mine is unlocked) to store its config file(s) in a TFTP server, and have this(these) file(s) reloaded at boot time, for instance ? In embedded web server, there is a Provisioning tab full of settings but none

Need help with directory create time
Hello, my problem: In the past "fake directory create times" did what I expect. The creation time of directories were fixed. Then I changed to samba 4 and "fake directory create times" did not work any longer. But I found a workaround and the creation times of directories were fixed. Today there was a virus and I restored a backup and the directory creation time is

RPC_S_PROCNUM_OUT_OF_RANGE
Hi, I had a linux server installed with samba 3.0.9-2.6 (SuSE 9.1) and a samba shared folder among 12 PC under WinXP/Win7. The linux server has been replaced by a new one a week ago. The new machine runs samba 3.5.4-5.1.2x86-64 with the same shared folder and the same smb.conf file. Till then, when the PCs try to connect to the samba share via explorer a window opens with the message "Num?ro

Sockets stuck in FIN_WAIT_1
I have a rather busy Apache 2.2 server; tons of small & some large requests. It's a standard Dell 2650 server using the bge (broadcom) network driver. I seem to have a rather strange problem where after just a day or so Apache just stops processing new connections. You can connect to port 80, but trying to get Apache to process any data just hangs. There is nothing strange in

OT: Central sieve management
A bit off topic, but I was wondering if anyone here has a solution for centrally managing sieve for multiple users from a custom web application? We would like to implement pigeonhole sieve on our dovecot cluster, however we need to be able to access user?s sieve configurations from a central location for troubleshooting and support purposes.
