centos 7 will not install :(
Please ... any info on how to proceed??? After I made sure it had the correct sha256sum, and after I burned it to DVD, and and dd'd the DVD back to a temp file and again checked the sha256sum of the temp file, all was OK. Same sha256sum. So, I rebooted the machine and it booted up from the DVD. I got a message that it was not using VNC, Then after that immediately an error came out saying

Unable to install Centos 7 64 bit
Thanx to all who replied. I downloaded using torrent and that was indeed fast. However .... after I made sure it had the correct sha256sum, and after I burned it to DVD, and and dd'd the DVD back to a temp file and again checked the sha256sum of the temp file, all was OK. Same sha256sum. So, I rebooted the machine and it booted up from the DVD. I got a message that it was not using VNC,

[PATCH] gm107: separate out sched decoding from regular ops
Unfortunately there's no sure-fire way to distinguish a sched "op" from regular ones. They happen purely based on position. So for disassembly, use the byte position in the file to determine whether the current op should be decoded as sched or as regular. For assembly, we go back to using a shared table. Ideally we would pick out which one to use based on the position in the

The win32-service patch is committed - and now, some questions
Hi all, I *finally* committed the patch from Patrick Hurley (you know, the one he submitted way back in June). Looks like it works. I''ve also revamped the code under the examples directory. There''s now a tdaemon.rb (the test daemon) and tdaemon_ctl.rb (the test daemon controller). Before I release this into the wild I want to make sure I document how to use it properly.

centos 7 will not install :(
I did see your post. So, even though the sha256sum was perfect on the iso file and on the DVD, it failed to install. I then used a usb flash drive and booted the flash drive to do the install. It also failed. The screen image I took with my camera can be viewed at https://www.sendspace.com/file/4828ej The questions I have are: why VNC ??? VNC is a horribly insecure protocol. Why would I want

LDA null logging patch
I don't really need logging of successful local deliveries since the MTA provides enough data. I can't get rid of LDA delivery logs by setting deliver_log_format = All this does is produce an empty log message e.g. Apr 16 01:22:05 dserver dovecot: lda(user): Timo, would you consider inclusion of this patch which will skip logging deliveries if deliver_log_format is empty: ---

Core dumps on HP-UX
Hello, I've been trying to get openssh working at our site recently, but have been running into these problems. In using the "release" version (openssh-2.3.0p1) we kept getting these broken pipe errors: zcat: stdout: Broken pipe Damien suggested we try out the snapshot versions, so I've been trying out the daily versions since last week. With the snapshots, the pipe problem

Kernel-loadable Root Kits
Thanks for the module, I think its a good idea to commit it to FreeBSD for a few reasons: 1) Some folks just prefer more static kernels. 2) Securelevel is a great thing, but can be a pain to do upgrades around remotely. [A lot of folks use FreeBSD simply because its a breeze to run remotely]. 3) Until someone writes code to add modules to a kernel via /dev/mem and releases it to the script

templates with same name before extension are cached
Hi all, I was just wondering if this is the intended behavior. Here is my setup: controller def index respond_to do |f| f.xml { render :xml => true } f.html { render :layout => :none } end end In my views I have a file for each type index.herb index.xerb The first request I send is cached and interferes with the other one. For example, if I send an xml request
