Where is the archive?
I've been trying to search the archives for older messages, but the
archive at:
http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users@lists.digium.com/maillist.html
only seems to go back a few days. Is there another archive somewhere
that goes back farther?

gtalk2voip and Asterisk
hi,
i was able to get this working with google talk.
i entered myusername@gmail.com using the gtalk2voip.com website's "invite"
box, and as a result, saw a request from service@gtalk2voip.com to be added
as a buddy in my google talk contact list. i accepted the request.
in my asterisk dialplan, i have this entry...

What kinds of problems were you having? I'm on 1.4.0 and chan_gtalk.so
simply doesn't load. Of the 146 files in the /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/
directory, asterisk loads 144 of them, omitting only chan_gtalk.so and
res_jabber.so.
Connected to Asterisk 1.4.1 currently running on monkey (pid = 9371)
Verbosity is at least 3

Need help on Text entry applicaon
Hi,
I need to build Text entry application by using asterisk. I already tried
this with spandsp application along with app_dtmftotext.c file, it was not
working because of some version problem.
Is there any way of building the text entry application through touch pad.

Hyperthreaded P4 processor count
I have three different live-CD distributions that give me different
numbers for the cpu count on this box (Dell P4 2.4GHz).
-the Knoppix 3.3 (11-19-03) says 1 processor (no error);
-the PHLAK 0.2 distribution say 1 processor (and 1 missing)
-the Local Area Security distro says two processors (identicle P4s).
Might there be somthing new in 2.0.8 that accounts for this difference. Is

Issue running Dovecot in Docker Container
The conf.d files are not included. I have added !include conf.d/*.conf to
director.conf and reloaded the dovecot and director services.
conf.d/10-logging also has the following lines:
log_path = /dovecot.log
info_log_path = $log_path
debug_log_path = $log_path
The /dovecot.log file still shows empty. Nothing is being logged to that
file.

[LLVMdev] clang generated executable uses only x86 general purpose registors

I just want to generate an executable using clang++ or clang which uses
only general purpose registers from x86. The generated code should not use
mmx or any other special purpose register.

No compatible codecs!
Hi,
I have the asterisk-1.4.11 set up installation on my Ubuntu machine. When i try making a simple incoming call using xlite softphone. I get the following message when i try calling to the number.
*CLI> [Feb 19 13:35:40] NOTICE[4137]: chan_sip.c:5331 process_sdp: No compatible codecs, not accepting this offer!
Which codec is it talking abt here. How can i resolve this.

Interrupt the swift text
Hi,
I am using Asterisk-1.4.11 version to make outbound calls and deliver the swift text to audio.
My functionality is as for example i make this text to audio deliver the person called.
Eg. swift -o /tmp/test.wav -p audio/channels=1,audio/sampling-rate=8000 "Press 1 to confirm. Press 3 to cancel."

Auto completion using xapian
Hello,
Do xapian has analyzer like EdgeNGram to use it for autocomplete.
I am trying to use the auto completion using xapian.
For example:

ex
exa
exam
example
etc..
so that we can get it.
I tried to use using the Partial flag but it dose not work Xapian::Query
query = parser.parse_query("m*",parser.FLAG_PARTIAL);
Do you have any example or any tutorial is appreciated.
