issues when add driverdisk to centos5.6 using NFS method
Hi, I am Ken.. I am trying to add dud(driver update disk) to centos5.6
using network method, I can successfully add dud to centos5.6 using
http and ftp method, but fail when using nfs method. However those all
three methods are officially supported in the centos5.6.
As indicated in the centos5.6 website, we can see they not only
support http, ftp, but also nfs.

how to get rhel3-ish distro run as domu with xen3
hello!
i think i have an very common problem. i want to run a
distro based on a 2.4 kernel (Scientific Linux 3/Centos 3/RHEL 3)
in xen3 as domu. the dom0 is a 2.6 based and works fine.
so i think the way to go is to "simply" use an 2.6
kernel. but now i see there are several things which
don''t work for example module-init-tools are missing and
i expect problems with the glibc.

Xen3: Network becomes unreachable under load
Hello,
we have the problem: We run 7 blades with a xen 3.0.1tha3 configuration
(with the patches for debian from debianbase.de), which a is xenisied
2.6.12.6-kernel. Everything runs fine until we start producing heavy load
on the network (e.g. multiple clients access our maxdb database), the dom0
and the domU network becomes unreachable (i.e. only every 100th-200th ping
gets through).

bridging troubles with Xen3
Hi,
I''ve been having troubles with bridge networking in Xen3.
RHEL4 is running in dom0 and Debian sarge in domU.
Both domains get their IPs from an external DHCP server.
dom0 starts up OK and gets its IP from the server. (all networking services work fine; in and out)
domU starts up OK and sometimes gets its IP while sometimes fails to get the IP.
In any case, after logging into domU

with no errors.
I downloaded a Centos 4.4 image from the web and when I rum xm I get an

Lets say you had 4 servers and you wanted to setup replicate and

distribute unify - block0 block1

xen, VT and an OS from Redmond
Hi there
We''re planning to buy a new server with a PentiumD with VT.
Unfortunately we have some legacy server software which runs on Windows
only and for that reason I have to install WindowsXP under Xen3.
The problem is that I didn''t find too much documentation (tutorials,
howtos, whatever) which describes installation and experiences with
WinXP, besides some problem

Good idea, but no reply: what to do.
Hello,
since some time I've created a construction which:
- automatically detects all the smb hosts and their shares (with nbtscan and
smbclient)
- creates a directory in the homemap of the users logged in which represents
the "windows networkneighbourhoud".
- when entering a share, it is automatically mounted (with autofs and cifs
and or smbfs)
It works very good, and now

failed to run xen3.x
I want to run the examples of a book titled "The Definitive Guide to the Xen

So I have to install Xen3.4. On vmware, I follow the instructions from

Linux HA or Heartbeat IP address question
Hi all,
I am following the guide on HowToForge to get Heartbeat going for two
Apache web servers
(http://www.howtoforge.com/high_availability_heartbeat_centos), a
quick question for anyone who might have a similar setup.
Do I have to assign the service IP to either of the NICs or does
Heartbeat do that automagically?
Thanks
