[PATCH] RFC: ACPI / OSI: remove workarounds for hybrid graphics laptops
It's hard to figure out what systems are actually affected and right now I don't see a good way of removing those... But I'd like to see thos getting removed and drivers fixed instead (which happened at least for nouveau). And as mentioned before, I prefer people working on fixing issues instead of spending time to add firmware level workarounds which are hard to know to which

Hybrid graphics, Wine with Bethesda games
I just bought a new laptop and decided to go for Linux. I'm getting to know the Terminal slowly, but I'd like to run Oblivion and Fallout 3. The specs are sufficient. The problem with these games (I haven't tried others with Wine yet) is that they don't seem to recognize the other graphics card in there, in addition to the Intel chipset, and that is Radeon HD 5700. In fact I'm

Intel integrated graphics VGA passthrough problem - I/O virtualisation disabled
Hello all, I have already use xen for about a year. I use recently released Opensuse 11.3 (use Xen 4.0) for my experiment. I want to run 3D test in HVM(windows xp), so I want to use VGA passthrough technology. But there is something not work properly. I google a lot of time, it says, I/O virtualisation should be enabled, but I can solve it. I run "xm dmesg" command, in the

5.5 kernel: using nouveau or something else just long enough to turn off Quadro RTX 4000 Mobile for hybrid graphics?
Howdy, So, I have a Thinkpad P70 with hybrid graphics. 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107GLM [Quadro M600M] (rev a2) that one works fine, I can use i915 for the main screen, and nouveau to display on the external ports (external ports are only wired to nvidia chip, so it's impossible to use them without turning the nvidia chip on). I now got a newer P73 also with the

[PATCH] Accept 3d controllers and not only VGA controllers.
I've discussed it with Ben and we actually found a better solution. There are just some calls inside those functions which should get NULL checks, nv50_mstm_register_connector and nv50_mstm_destroy_connector. Or at least something similiar so that the code doesn't depent on the fbcon object being there. On Mon, Dec 18, 2017 at 6:30 PM, Josef Larsson <josef.lar at gmail.com> wrote:

hybrid in fisher.test broken?
The hybrid feature in fisher.test looks to me like an excellent way to analyze my two-way tables. The only problem is that it does not seem to be implemented. Am I right about this? An example is pasted below. I note that I get the warning message only when I shouldn't: for a 2x2 table hybrid seems to be ignored without warning. In no case does fisher.test seem to be checking Cochran

HYBRID: SMP without HAP (PV MMU)
Hi, I have hybrid smp running with autoxlate. However, without autoxlate, I am running into issues realted to TLB flush. The guest in this case makes multicalls as part of which cache is flushed (__do_update_va_mapping, etc..). However, the guest is using VPIDs and it is getting complicated. I can just xen not do any TLB management and let the guest just do it after return from the hypercall.
