login failure "reason" not returned (dovecot-2.2.32)
Hello, In the past (older dovecot versions) I've tuned the SQL "password_query" of our mail server so that when the user has the account blocked for some reason (expired, need password change, etc.) the query returns nologin=1 and a verbose reason like reason="Your account is expired please change the password" and it worked very well with IMAP clients. I'm now

Pigeon hole sieve binaries and dovecot header install
Stephan, I've recently been playing around with packaging dovecot 2.0 and dovecot-2.0-pigeonhole, as well as the --enable-header-install configure options of both. This lead me to the following question. Should pigeonhole's sieve binaries rely on static libstorage / other dovecot libraries? It seems like they should instead use shared libraries, but I couldn't find a configure option

HP DL380 G2 does not boot off local disk from PXE boot menu
Hi, all: I can't make my HP DL380 G2 servers to boot off local disk by using "default local" line in my PXE boot menu. For fully automated server setups, I have configured all my DL380 servers to always do PXE boot. By manipulating the default boot option in boot menu, I can control a server whether to install a new OS via kickstart or just boot off local disk. This scheme works

Send SPF SoftFails to Junk
Hello Dovecot gurus, I've set up SPF checking on my postfix gateway and have confirmed that messages from domains set with hard fails that don't come from a good sender are rejected outright. Messages from domains set with a softfail that come from bad sources are tagged in the message header with "Softfail (domain owner discourages use of this host)", but end up in the

forwarding email with sieve of spf domains
There's no ambiguity here, if you send a message, you are the sender. The envelope from should be yours. Bind DNS SPF Record
I know this is a bit off topic from CentOS itself, but are there any DNS experts that would be able to e-mail me on the side and assist with some questions I have regarding TXT/SPF records? I want to ensure my mail doesn't bounce.

ActionMailer and Sender validation frameworks ( DKIM or SPF )
What''s the directors'' take on ading DKIM or SPF functionality into ActionMailer. Is that a function that is better addressed via a plugin, or would an extension or a monkeypatch of this class be an appropriate avenue of pursuit? SPF Record questions
I am inquiring about how to setup a proper SPF record. I know there are SPF wizards/generators available but each seem to have a different "opinion" of what should be included and what should not be included. Let me give you a scenario of my setup, and hopefully someone can help me out. My domain is: test.com My mailserver hostname is: mail.host.com which also has a MATCHING PTR

forwarding email with sieve of spf domains
Say someone has setup spf for his domain and sends an email to a user that has in roundcube enabled the sieve forward. If the message is forwarded without altering the message headers, this could result in a message being blocked or not relayed, because sending hosts ip, is not in the spf of the from: domain. Possible solutions are: - add option if enabled, it replaces the From: with that
