dovecot-lda not logging if dovecot runs under daemontools
Hello all,
I have dovecot running under daemontools and I can't see dovecot-lda in
action when I read the logs. I've set the logs to /dev/stderr because
daemontools redirects /dev/stderr to /var/log/dovecot/current.
The dovecot server works fine and I know that dovecot-lda is actually
doing the delivery, because the sieve facility is working as well. I can
get lda log working -but

Sieve vacation reply problem (Dovecot+Sieve/Sendmail/Horde)
Hello Dovecot community,
I have an annoying problem with successfully activating Sieve vacation replies - on which I have been working hard the last days without success :(
I'm using Dovecot 2.2 + Sendmail + Sieve connected with Horde web-mailer IMP H3 which is generally working fine.
BUT: Whenever I activate vacation script in Horde (via Ingo) and send a test-mail to this account, the mail

Use header from instead envelope sender - quota exceed
Hi,
i want use dovecot and plugin quota to inform users about exceeded space. I
also configure postfix to rewrite envelope_sender so
envelope_sender<>header: from. Dovecot sent mail with information about
exceeded space to email in envelope_sender. It is possible to configure that
dovecot sent mail to header from address? I need use sender_canonical_maps
in postfix because i want also relay

Dovecor 1.2 : Command output: Fatal: Unknown argument: flags=DRhu Usage: deliver [-c <config file>] [-a <address>] [-d <username>] [-p <path>] [-f <envelope sender>] [-m <mailbox>] [-n] [-s] [-e] [-k] )
Hi there,
I changed postfix to pass email to spamassassin, and then deliver to
dovecot LDA. It fails to deliver.
The current entry in master.cf now reads:
dovecot unix - n n - - pipe
flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d
${recipient}
smtp inet n - - - - smtpd
-o content_filter=spamassassin

Sieve "redirect" changes envelope sender in 2.3. / pigeonhole 0.5
OK, I found a solution:
trusted_users = exim:dovecot
in my exim.conf fixed it.
Anyway this is an important change of behavour between 2.2 und 2.3
In 2.2 the "dovecot" under exims "trusted_users" was not necessary.

Vacation -- reply to another address than envelope from
Vacation (Sieve) replies to the envelope address. However, I have a
customer which receive e-mails from a service which sends e-mails on
behalf of a user (submitted through a web form).
So an e-mail would be like (envelope from and from-header is
webformfromwhatever at foobar.com):
From: webformfromwhatever at foobar.com
To: mycustomer at hisdomain.com

Sieve vacation not getting enough headers "no known (envelope) recipient address found in message headers"
I am getting these errors[1]. With fairly default setup where sendmail
is delivering mail via lmtp. Adding these, do not seem to make a
difference. Should I add something to the sendmail configuration?
sieve_vacation_dont_check_recipient = no
sieve_vacation_use_original_recipient = no

Pigeonhole vacation and envelope extension recipient addresses
I have a situation where my LMTP RCPT TO: goes to a mailbox user account that
does not reflect either the final (through aliasing) or envelope email address.
SMTP RCPT TO: (envelope-local-part at envelope-domain)
Final Recipient: (final-local-part at final-domain)
LMTP RCPT TO: (mailbox-local-part at mailbox-domain)
I'd like to use the final recipient as the vacation address, but also

flowid - classid ?
root@Delta:~# tc filter add dev ppp0 parent 1:1 flowid 1:5 protocol ip
Unknown filter "flowid", hence option "1:5" is unparsable
root@Delta:~# tc filter add dev ppp0 parent 1:1 classid 1:5 protocol ip
Unknown filter "classid", hence option "1:5" is unparsable
I don''t understand why it does not work. Can anybody explain me this problem?

sender for Sieve vacation message
Hello,
is it possible to define the sender for the Dovecot Sieve
implementation's vacation extension? It seems to be impossible to add,
e.g., a name, or choose a different sender address.
Thanks,

htb errors, wrong patch?
I downloaded iproute2-2.4.7-now-ss010824.tar.gz and I did patched tc with
the htb3.6_tc.diff from htb3.6-020525.tgz and when I try to use a htb script
I get just errors. I did not patch the kernel, since I use kernel 2.4.21 and
I saw on - HTB Homepage that I need to patch it only if I run version 2.4.20
or earlier. Do also need the kernel patch ? Or maybe is something else
wrong?
