plm: Hausman Test error
Hi, I am trying to run a panel regression using 88 observations and 9 variables. In-built Hausman Test did not work, then I found a code for auxiliary regression method for the Hausman test. The panel models are: fe=plm(gd ~ l+g+o+c+g1+h+n+r, model = "within", data = new.frame, index = c("id")) re=plm(gd ~ l+g+o+c+g1+h+n+r, model = "random", data = new.frame, index =

Panel Data Analysis (PLM) - Fixed Effects - "cannot allocate vector of length"
Hello to all on the list, I'm trying to estimate a fixed effects model from a large (unbalanced) panel data set. I have no problems when using only an individual effect or only a time effect, but I get an error message when I try for a "twoways" effect. Here is some of the code: paneldata27 is the entire panel data set: > dim(paneldata27) [1] 1178831 8 >

Group emails based on custom header

According to my experience if i use "XX UID SEARCH INTHREAD REFS HEADER myheader myvalue" i receive? emails UID gathers by HEADER+VALUE, but in this way i need to fetch all emails using several imap SEARCH. Has dovecot any features that would help me do this? Thank you!! -------------- next part -------------- An

Replicating Stata's xtreg clustered SEs in R
I'm trying to replicate a time-series cross-sectional analysis (countries over years) with SEs clustered by country. ?The original analysis was done in Stata 10 with: xtreg [DV] [IVs] fe cluster(country). Using plm() in R (cran.r-project.org/web/packages/plm/index.html), I've replicated the coefficients. I sought to estimate country-clustered SEs with vcovHC(), and tried a variety of

fixed effects with clustered standard errors
Dear R-helpers, I have a very simple question and I really hope that someone could help me I would like to estimate a simple fixed effect regression model with clustered standard errors by individuals. For those using Stata, the counterpart would be xtreg with the "fe" option, or areg with the "absorb" option and in both case the clustering is achieved with "vce(cluster

robust standard errors for panel data - corrigendum
Hello again Max. A correction to my response from yesterday. Things were better than they seemed. I thought it over, checked Arellano's panel book and Driscoll and Kraay (Rev. Econ. Stud. 1998) and finally realized that vcovSCC does what you want: in fact, despite being born primarily for dealing with cross-sectional correlation, 'SCC' standard errors are robust to "both

error using pvcm() on unbalanced panel data
Dear all I am trying to fit Variable Coefficients Models on Unbalanced Panel Data. I managed to fit such models on balanced panel data (the example from the "plm" vignette), but I failed to do so on my real, unbalanced panel data. I can reproduce the error on a modified example from the vignette: > require(plm) > data("Hedonic") > Hed <- pvcm(mv ~ crim + zn + indus

so many arp caches why?
Hello, all. When I execute arp -a -n, there are lots of arp caches like below. Surely, I set netmask and Broadcast without problem and routing table also no problem. System is CentOS release 4.7 i386. I know how to delete the arp cache, but I don't know why .. # ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:A0:D1:E7:91:CC inet addr:192.168.195.36
