Shared folders with Centos-7 guest in VMware-10 using open-vm-tools
Hi! Just wondering if anyone has this working ... Centos-7 guest in VMware-10 host (on Windows-7 :-( ) Out of the box, shared folders and drag&drop do not work although X screen resolution sensing is fine (ie xrandr reports the resolution of the host screen as well as the peculiar screen options built-in) and I can Alt-Enter to full screen quite happily. I tried Fedora-22 too but did

2.0beta4 and latest Mercurial: Folder not SELECT-able until LIST-ed
Have a look at the attached dialog. It shows the folder "shared/a at db.org/Archive" not being SELECT-able until after it's been mentioned in a LIST response. This can't possibly be right, can it? ccf and covariance
Hi. It's my understanding that a cross-correlation function of vectors x and y at lag zero is equivalent to their correlation (or covariance, depending on how the ccf is defined). If this is true, could somebody please explain why I get an inconsistent result between cov() and ccf(type = "covariance"), but a consistent result between cor() and ccf(type = "correlation")? Or

freebsd - duplicate folders but one is not accessible
Hello List, I got called by a colleague last Friday to take a look at samba on an existing unix box, which turned out to be freebsd. Somehow I have managed to make it past a decade of computing without seeing freebsd. while it is different, it is not significantly so... This box was built by a gentleman who is not longer with the company that owns it. As best as I can tell, the windows

First, I keep forgetting that I need to change the email address to reply to the mailing list. Sorry about that, everyone. (Hard to follow a thread that is fragmented like this one now is.) I am focusing to intently on my problem. Rowland, changed to 0755 for the three directories you suggested and still getting "Access is denied" from my W7 client. I even restarted the server and

LDAP passwords not working after upgrading to Samba 3
Hi All, I apologize in advance for the length of this post but I wanted to be as thorough as possible and get this problem fixed. I'm trying to upgrade our existing Samba 2.2.7 server with an OpenLDAP 2.0.27 backend to Samba 3 using the same LDAP database. After I did the upgrade(in a test environment), user passwords no longer work. I've read articles upon articles explaining how to do

enforcing multiple per-mailbox quotas for shared mailboxes
Hi! I'm trying to get quotas for shared mailboxes set up on my server. It's not working, and I fail to understand why. Documentation for setup of this complexity is rather scarce on the web, and the discussions I found either don't directly apply or terminate with "I got it working" but no explanation. Can someone please help? The setup is rather lengthy and complicated, so

public folders fchown error
I was hoping this would be the right place to look for some help, I cannot make public folders get the right permissions. I continually get the fchown error in logs, and have googled high an low to find multiple solutions that do not work for me. I'm using maildir. I have sendmail with postfix distributing my mail. I created maildir's in each users personal directory. I then thought
