Dovecot on Solaris x86?
I'm trying to get dovecot working on Solaris x86. I've got it
working just fine on RH Desktop 4; and while I have a built, limping
version on solx86, it's not actually usable except from other solx86
systems.
Basic details:

The name can be somewhat confusing. LLVM is a lot of things, the web page
gives some important areas (http://llvm.org/).

[LLVMdev] C++ to C?
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your help.
You mentioned that "the current interpreter makes no pretense of running on a "virtual machine"", but isn't the interpreter itself a virtual machine? I'm not looking to emulate any particular processor - just interested in a tool that will help teach how a processor works.
Can LLVM help, or am I completely off track?
Thanks,
M.

How to save a complete image of the current state of R ?
Hello,
I like to save the complete state of R, i.e. including
all environments, objects/workspaces, loaded packages etc..
This wish has arisen since I am not able to reproduce
an error which occurs when running R CMD check.
Many thanks for your advice in advance.
Best Regards

Sync errors trying to sync old mbox inboxes to dovecot
We are currently running dovecot 2.2.rc3.
I am trying to 'dsync mirror' old Qpopper/mbox inboxes to our new Dovecot/mdbox servers. For most of the several thousand accounts, it works without issue. But there are a handful of accounts that are generating the following errors.
dsync(joe): Error: Sync failed for mbox file /var/opt/migrate/users/joe/inbox: seq=981 uid=981 uid_broken=0

What's the best way to authenticate against Active Directory?
Hi all,
I'm working on a replacement for a legacy linux mail server: courier POP/IMAP, Postfix, OpenLDAP. One of the requirements of the new mail server is to authenticate against our AD infrastructure (I'll still keep a userdb in OpenLDAP). SSO is not required since most of the clients don't log into our domain. The current system has about 1,000 concurrent users on it during

Just a quick heads up -- removing BBVectorize from LLVM (and Clang)
If you don't use BBVectorize at all, you can ignore this.
Hal suggested this in a thread in 2014:
http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2014-November/079091.html
None objected then, and I don't think any new uses have arisen so I plan to
just remove it. It is causing maintenance burden, complexity, and is a set
of features I'd rather not port to the new PM.
Just an FYI email to

Shared mailboxes and accessing MailDir not through IMAP
Hello,
I'm testing Dovecot that is part of Debian/sarge (v0.99.14-1).
So far so good. I have migrated some mailboxes for testing with success
and seems that everything works fine.
One thing I do not figure out is, what to do about shared mailboxes, which
are the very reason of searching for an alternative IMAP server,
The Wiki states that there is some sort of shared mailboxes, based upon

I do not believe that this would be the case nor that it should be a
goal. Source-to-source transformation requires a lot of accurate
information about the AST, and conversion to LLVM IR is way too lossy.
Signedness, for example, is

We had a samba 4.1.9 AD DC running since July. We have 3 campuses and
brought up a secondary AD at another campus. This setup seemed to be
running as expected. We could see our primary AD DC authenticating requests
fine. We could see the secondary AD authenticating requests as well at our
second campus.
Then we started experiencing bandwidth issues between our campuses. Our
