Dovecot 1.1: Ignoring Trash/Junk for maildirsize?
Hi all, We're testing Dovecot 1.1rc3, but have run into a snag with IMAP Quota's and the way Trash and Junk folders can be handled. Our MTA (Exim) quota configuration uses this option: maildir_quota_directory_regex = ^(?:cur|new|\.(?!Junk$)(?!Trash$).*)$ This completely excludes "Junk" and "Trash" from the "maildirsize" file and quota calculations.

hidden shared/public Trash and Junk folders
We need ideas on how to do this reliably and efficiently for a specific client with unfaithful employees. --- We could do this using client-side configuration tied to windows GPO, but prefer a server-side solution. Sent from ProtonMail Mobile

Need a quick, safe method to empty /home/user/Maildir/{.Junk, .Trash}
I have some (Thunderbird client, dovecot-1.0.13, Maildir) users who get an appalling amount of spam-with-attachment, and it's causing backups to take an inordinate amount of time. I'll implement some quota and server-side spam management when I go to dovecot-1.1, but in the meantime: What is the safest way to empty all messages within, but not delete, the following folders from the

SPAM and other junk posted to openssh-unix-dev@mindrot.org
You can read the list via <http://gmane.org/>, which does its own Spamassassin and ClamAV filtering. But it looks like at the moment SA there is having almost as many troubles as that filtering the list itself. It would be possible to write some new SA rules to catch the 'suspicious message' crap, and then send them to either the list owner or the maintainer of Gmane. -- Ed Avis

Spam instead of Junk folder
Traditionally I have used 'Spam' as the folder name for all those emails that get tagged as, well Spam. But it seems that the standard is now 'Junk' as from 15-mailboxes.conf # Space separated list of IMAP SPECIAL-USE attributes as specified by # RFC 6154: \All \Archive \Drafts \Flagged \Junk \Sent \Trash #special_use = If I have in local.conf #
