DSpam mysql-plugin (was DSpam plugin)
After wrestling with Johannes's original plugin, I had a go at the mysql plugin that Tim wrote, as described here: http://members.plug.org.au/~linuxalien/dokuwiki/projects:dovecot-mysql-dspam-plugin I kept getting "Error: imap dump-capability process killed with signal 11" when attempting to start dovecot with this plugin. I traced the error to line 656 of master-settings.c in

Winbind: can't log in as domain user
Sorry about the lengthy post - I'm putting as much in here as I can in hopes that someone can help me ferret out the problem. Basic problem is that domain users can't successfully log into the linux box. I'm trying to set this box up as an ltsp server authenticating against our existing AD (although this is actually in a test lab - I didn't really want to trash anything real

fcntl and F_NOTIFY
I've set up dovecot on a testbed server. Each time a user ('myusername') connects via imap, I get the following info in mail.log: dovecot: imap(myusername): fcntl(F_NOTIFY) failed: Invalid argument I'm using these config settings in dovecot.conf in an attempt to avoid fcntl lock_method = dotlock mbox_read_locks = dotlock mbox_write_locks = dotlock I've looked through the

dovecot-dspam-plugin not launching dspam
hello, i added the dovecot-dspam-plugin [1] to my dovecot-installation. when trying to move a mail out of or into the predefined spamfolder with thunderbird a messagebox shows : "dspam failed" and the message remains in its original position. i am using virtual mail users contained in a postgresql-database [2]. normal imap access and dspam training from the commandline works fine.

ltsp kernel crash
Hi, I've been using pxe-enabled nic's with an lzpxe-etherboot image generated by rom-o-matic.net to boot a ltsp.org kernel, with dhcp 3 to use if statements to determine which filename option he gives to the pxe/etherboot dhcp client.Explained at http://www.ltsp.org/documentation/pxe.howto.html This works perfectly, except for the fact that you can't use 1 etherboot pxe image for

Question regarding config, not sure if syslinux or tftp-hpa related
Good morning everybody, I'm pretty new to syslinux & tftp-hpa, and so I'm not quite sure where my question belongs to, but I'll try it here first. I want to enhance the network services by offering a LTSP (just for the case the pc or laptop doesn't work for some reasons). And so, for testing, I added a second linux-based system (lets call it system-b). Currently the tftpd

newbie thinclient env
i have a lot of questions, maybe you've got some answers. I've got the following setup : 1 central server ( linux ) , 17 servers ( LTSP ) on different locations, where each server has a number of thinclients connected to it ( max 6 ) The central server / 17 LTSP servers are on the internet and share 1 VPN ( freeswan ). It would be nice if the 17 LTSP servers could use asterix on one

Dovecot antispam (X-DSPAM-Signature)
Hi, I recently installed an IMAP server with dovecot and the dovecot antispam plugin with dspam backend. If I configure dspam to not include the signature in the X-DSPAM-Signature header will I be able to move mail into SPAM folder? Regards, Isabel

How to integrate dspam and dovecot
Hello all, I am currently setting up a new mail server with Qmail, OpenLDAP and Dovecot in CentOS-4.4. Qmail version is 1.03, OpenLDAP is 2.3 and Dovecot version is dovecot-1.0-3_50.rc27(RPM). I have successfully installed and tested it. But I have two issues with the current setup: #1. I am using dovecot LDA and configured the OpenLDAP such that the mail be delivered to the virtual users

antispam plugin problem with dspam
I'm trying to use the dovecot antispam plugin with dspam. I'm running dovecot 1.1.2. Using thunderbird and IMAP, when I drag a spam message from the inbox into the SPAM folder, I get a popup saying "The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: antispam signature not found. When I look at the message in the maildir folder, I see the dspam signature both in the

dspam integration
Hi, I see http://johannes.sipsolutions.net/Projects/dovecot-antispam and http://blog.cynapses.org/2007/09/13/dovecot-dspam-plugin/ solutions. Second git repo is not answer, first one is cloned, but I see some drawbacks with it. Dspam backend is more native solution but libdspam using instead of dspam external binary looks like preffered way to integrate dspam. Another problem is waiting for

ipconfig and boot filename option
Hi, ipconfig is used in ltsp (thin clients) initramfs. Some of the users have to have 2 dhcp servers in ltsp environments, so they hit on this problem: The first dhcp request is from the pxe rom boot code. This code ignores any dhcp offers that don't have a filename field. So they always get the correct address, from the ltsp server. The second dhcp request (in initramfs) is done by

dovecot-antispam plugin and "Failed to call dspam" message
Hi, I had this working until I recently upgraded Dovecot, and now I'm getting a message back from Thunderbird of "Failed to call dspam." when I attempt to move a message into one of the designated spam folders. However, I know from looking at the dspam system.log file, the retraining actually happens - so it -does- appear to be calling dspam. It appears that the 'move'

Upstream vendor's diskless vs LTSP
Hello all, I have a customer that insists of using upstream vendor's diskless (system-config-netboot) rather than LTSP. The reason is that he wants to use a 100% packages from the vendor, not from LTSP or any other party. I try the vendor's diskless system, and although it's very simple to setup, it lacks the support and/or documentation whereas LTSP is very good in it. Another
