Scheirer-Ray-Hare
Hello to all the people in the forum,
I'm trying to perform a Scheirer-Ray-Hare test in R, and despite I've found
some posts talking about this test, there no one in which I can found how to
do so.
Can anyone explain me how to do the test?
Thanks
Pablo

scheirer-ray-hare extention
Apparently the Scheirer-Ray-Hare extention for the Kruskal-Wallis test is
too weak for estimating interaction effects in more than twoway design
matrices isn't it? If so, why is it?
TIA

Scheire-Ray-Hare extension to Kruskal-Wallis
Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to do the "Scheirer-Ray-Hare" extension of the Kruskal-Wallis test using R, or if it was possible to use some other non-parametric test for the following situation:
I have continuous data that is grouped by 2 factor variables. I would like a non-parametric test because the group variances are not equal. I would like to look for the effects of

Contrastes de Rangos Alineados
Estimados usuaRios:
deseo hacer una consulta, debo
realizar una prueba no paramétrica a un conjunto de datos que posee una
variable de respuesta con tres factores que poseen interacción, o al menos
debo probar ello. Es decir, realizar una prueba Scheirer-Ray-Hare o de

Graceful degradation of signal
Hello all.
In the shower the other day (where most of this sort of musing gets
done, eh?) I was thinking about graceful degradation of audio signals.
Let me apologise in advance if these are elementary concepts or if I
demonstrate a complete lack of insight -- I don't rate even a dabbler
status in the area of audio codecs.
Anyway:
If we have a 128kbs signal coming down a *udp* channel with

Renegade MPEG member: Intro and volunteerism
Hi nice Vorbis people,
I've been following the work on Ogg and Vorbis for some
time, and I've been very impressed with the work so far.
I'd like to introduce myself and volunteer for some work
as it's needed. I'm very excited about the prospect of
developing open-source audio coding technologies that
are not encumbered by patents, and think this has the

stratified Wilcoxon available?
Dear All,
is there a stratified version of the Wilcoxon test (also known as van
Elteren test) available in R?
I could find it in the survdiff function of the survival package for
censored data. I think, it should be possible to use this function creating
a dummy censoring indicator and setting it to not censored, but may be
there is a better way to perform the test.
Thanks,

There are many people complaining that tablet PCs perform not so satisfactory when they are used to play videos. Actually, at first, tablet PC is developed as a mobile small PC that offers more convenient experience for being taken outside. So, it is not a professional media player that can fit all your playing requirements. And we should figure out that tablet PCs can playback most of videos

[LLVMdev] C++ ray tracer performance: gcc 4.3.2 vs llvm-gcc 4.2.1
On the off chance anyone here is interested in more performance results, I
compiled and ran the fastest of the implementations of the ray tracer in C++
from my language comparison:

This is a small program with a relatively large hotpath. Specifically, around
30% of the time is spend in the ray sphere intersection but another 30% is

Platinum Blu-Ray Defeat the World
I ordered the Limited Edition Diamond Collector's Set,because I'm a big Disney dvd (http://www.seriesonsale.com/DVDs/Walt-Disney-s-100-Years-Of-Magic-164-Discs-DVD-Box-Set-24.html)fan. I was blown away by how nice the set really is. The box is lined in velvet with gold embossments. The lithographs are of pencil animation, so you get to see all of the animator's original pencil lines.
