Calculate Closest 5 Cases?
I've only begun investigating R as a substitute for SPSS. I have a need to identify for each CASE the closest (or most similar) 5 other CASES (not including itself as it is automatically the closest). I have a fairly large matrix (50000 cases by 50 vars). In SPSS, I can use Correlate > Distances to generate a matrix of similarity, but only on a small sample. The entire matrix can not

avoiding termination of nls given convergence failure
Hello. I have a script in which I repeatedly fit a nonlinear regression to a series of data sets using nls and the port algorithm from within a loop. The general structure of the loop is: for(i in 1:n){ … extract relevant vectors of dependent and independent variables … … estimate starting values for Amax and Q.LCP…

controlling nls errors
Hello. I am using the nonlinear least squares function (nls). The function that I am trying to fit seems to be very sensitive to the starting values and, if these are not chosen properly, the nls function stops and gives an error message: Error in numericDeriv(form[[3]], names(ind), env) : Missing value or an Infinity produced when evaluating the model In addition: Warning

The pieces of the program run well individually but when I try to run everything in sequence it bogs down because of a warning after using rollmax from package zoo. Here is the warning: "In rollmax.zoo(zoo(Pmat), 7, na.pad = FALSE, align = "right") : na.pad is deprecated. Use

Gracias. Alguna idea de que usar para calcular los porcentajes y almacenarlos. Se puede usar flat table? El 18/06/2017 4:50 p. m., "Carlos J. [LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] BasicBlock Autovectorization Pass
Ralf, et al., Attached is the latest version of my autovectorization patch. llvmdev has been CC'd (as had been suggested to me); this e-mail contains additional benchmark results. First, these are preliminary results because I did not do the things necessary to make them real (explicitly quiet the machine, bind the processes to one cpu, etc.). But they should be good enough for discussion.
