How to apply XPath query on XML nodes separately?
Dear R experts,
I try to extract certain child nodes from an XML document and construct a
table in which the parent node names are the columns and the child id
values, joined in a list, are the cell content.
If I first apply an XPath query to extract all above parent nodes, then
iterate over those nodes and again apply a XPath query to select their
child nodes, I get *ALL* matching child nodes

SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds
Hi,
I am trying to create a BioMoby client in R using SSOAP.
BioMoby is a normal SOAP web service, with request
and response messages wrapped in BioMoby XML dialect.
Since the particular WSDL I am having problems with
is autogenerated and used similarly by *many* services,
it would be quite important to a) fix SSOAP or
b) fix the WSDL generator.
I am a bit lost how to continue debugging

help with interpreting what nnet() output gives:
Greetings list,
I am new to programming in R, and am using nnet() function for a project on
neural networking.
Firstly I wish to ask if there is any pdf explaining the algorithm nnet
uses, which could tell me what the objects of the nnet class, like 'conn',
'nconn, 'nsunits', n and 'nunits' mean, and how weights are calculated.
The package pdf has little or no
