mISDN + chan_misdn.so + winbond issue
Hi all, Does anybody of you have the winbond w6692 working with the mISDN/chan_misdn.so? When loading chan_misdn.so from Asterisk, I get a "No lower Id port:1" error. The /var/log/messages file says: "MISDN free_device: entitylist not empty" I'm using Linux 2.6.11.11 + mISDN-CVS-2005-05-01 + Asterisk 1.0.7 + Zaptel 1...

Winbond drivers
Hi! It is the first time I post to this ML, so please be patient :-) I read that a zaptel driver for Winbond 6692 ISDN adapter is on going ... is there any chance to get some "test code" ? I just bought a similar adapter: I tried getting a HFC based card, but here in Milan (Italy) ISDN card are getting really uncommon..... :-( The home PBX is working fine right now with chan_modem, but I sup...

Motherboards
...yan piece of junk and going back with the S-M board. I believe it has similar north/southbridge chips on it -- at least they are the intel MCH ICH5R and PXH plus the 82546GB. One area that the Tyan board was seriously lacking in was in the hardware monitoring department. The S-M board uses a winbond 83627HF chip. Another area I'm wondering about is with the SATA controller. Supposedly the ICH5R supports Raid 0, 1, and JBOD's, but does CentOS handle the sata raid without difficulty? Tnx.. -- Snowman

isdn4linux delay
I have a weird problem and I cannot put my finger on it. I hope somebody can help me out. Incoming and outgoing calls via the internet go perfectly well. Calls that originate from a SIP or AIX client on the local LAN (100 Mbx) and terminate via a Winbond BRI often (not all of the times, but most of the times) are having a (about) 5 second delay starting from when I say something until the other end hears what I said. Everything seems to go okay at the start of a conversation. But the problem seems to get worse when the call lasts longer (only a...

SMP motherboard and temperature monitoring with /dev/io
Hello, I have an SMP motherboard (Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+) and I'm trying to monitor the temperature of the processor. The chipset for I/O control is Winbond W83627HF. When using any program for monitoring temperatures, I only get the temperature reading for the second processor. How do I get readings for both processors or only the first one ? TIA

Fan speed control on Supermicro X8DAL board with CentOS
...'t seem to be any variable speed (the fans are PWM compatible) ... they either idle at almost nothing, or suddenly burst into a high-pitched scream that gets my ears bleeding after a few seconds. Once they jump to warp-10, they remain there. The "Super-I/O" chip on this board is a Winbond W83627DHG which does the temperature and voltage monitoring. Is anyone aware of which driver or kernel module I need for that chip in order to get control of the fans? The Supermicro web site and the board's manual aren't any help. Fresh installs of CentOS-5.5 and RHEL-6 don't ex...

ISDN - BRI
Subsequent to some previous E-Mails, I've been trying to dig into the ISDN - BRI situation a bit more. I have determined that I have a HFC card with Winbond chip, but I'm not sure what combination of drivers is best or usable. zaphfc is out because it only supports the cologne chip. misdn is a possibility. I haven't determined if it supports the card natively, or needs a card specific driver under it. capi is a possibility, but again, I don...

chan_capi on slackware10? cannot compile :-( why?
I'm trying to compile chan_capi-0.5.4 on Slackware 10, but I have bunch of errors. (By the way, can I use chan_capi for ISDN card with winbond w6692cf chipset?) I'm not a linux expert, still :-) Before compiling, when I type "modprobe capi" to load capi module, and then "lsmod", i get list of modules: capi 6208 0 kernelcapi 30496 1 [capi] capiutil 22272 0 [kern...

MultiBRI in Australia - found one - maybe
I may have found a source of an A-Ticked HFC 4BRI PCI adapter in Australia, and will be testing one next week if all goes well. I don't want to post the details of the reseller online unless invited to do so, so if nobody replies and says they are interested then I won't :) I'll follow up once I've tested it. Let me know if you want the details. James

Problem reading vitals from Gigabyte H77-DH3H
Hello everyone, I'm unable to read temperature Gigabyte H77-DH3H motherboard. Is that motherboard supported or am I doing it incorrectly? When trying to access hw.acpi.thermal everything appears to be ok, but it is not, the system always returns 27,8C and 29,8C which fooled me initially - the values never change. Here is output: [chinatsu]:/root# sysctl hw.acpi.thermal
