RPC server not available when windows client attempts to join samba AD
I am installing a new Samba 4.2 Active Directory server on CentOS 7. I followed the Wiki instructions on how to create the server. I am using sernet-samba 4.2 binaries. Everything seems to be OK on the Linux side but I cannot get any windows client to successfully join the domain. Each attempt returns the following error message "RPC Server in not available". Samba's winbind and SELinux conflict
...n page that I could set the directory of this file using the "private dir" directive on smb.conf's global section, and that's what I did, I set it to /var/cache/samba/winbindd_privileged, which I found was a directory created by the samba-common package, with 750 permissions and a winbind_var_run_t context. I would like to know if I did the right thing or not. Or if I should have put the secrets.tdb in a directory other than that one. What would be the recommended configuration? Thanks! SElinux and Samba
Ok, so there is not a problem with SElinux and Samba. But it is a pain to set up so it will work right. I finally figured out how to set up SE and Samba so you can be able to write and delete files. I found in one of that man pages "man samba_selinux", you can just disable SE for samba. I am sure there are other ways also but this is what I have found so far. I tried to just
