cupsaddsmb not working after upgrade to Lenny (rpcclient -> WERR_INVALID_PARAM)

I tried to rerun cupsaddsmb. The driver files are copied to the
print$-share (I can see them in /etc/samba/drivers) and also the first
RPC call 'adddriver' is reported successful. The second one 'setdriver'
ends with 'WERR_INVALID_PARAM', see output:

Samba 3 and cupsaddsmb

Samba 4 Cleanup Managing and Otherwise
OK, there has got to be a way to work with this thing other than
wiping the Domain every time an error pops up.
Trying to resolve problems I did a git upgrade and:
setup# /usr/local/samba/sbin/upgradeprovision
Which provided the unhelpful:
Found 3 domain controllers, for the moment upgradeprovision is not
able to handle upgrade on domain with more than one DC, please demote
the other(s)

Installing windows drivers into print$ on OS X 10.5 Leopard
Has anyone had any success installing windows printer drivers onto a
leopard-hosted print$ share?
If I use the Add Printer Wizard method, if copies the driver files to \
\SERVER\print$\W32X86 then fails with an "Operation cannot be
completed."
If I use the rpcclient method I get a WERR_INVALID_PARAM error. Using
the Adobe Generic PostScript driver as an example.

About rpcclient and adddriver command

It worked okay, but when i wanted to put the hp drivers downloaded from
their
homepage it doesn't. The error with debug level 3 after some text... is:
lsa_io_sec_qos: length c does not match size 8

I 've looked rpcclient manpages and googled a lot, i've looked that all
the files
i mention in the rpcclient command are in the $print\W32X86 folder and...
i don't know!!
The rpcclient adddriver command is only for installing cups and adobe
poscript
drivers? or can i install hp driv...

strange anomaly/bug with cupsaddsmb and 64bit drivers
...nores the drivers if the subdirectory is named with an uppercase "X"
(X64).
Now if Samba's printers (/var/lib/samba/printers in my case) directory
already contains an X64 (uppercase X) directory cupsaddsmb will work
all the way up to the setdriver stage and then fail with:

A workaround is to delete the "X64" directory (unless it is being used
otherwise, then I presume that renaming it with a lower case "x" will
work) and cupsaddsmb will create an "x64" directory, and with a
lowercase "x" the setdriver stage completes with no i...

Four DCs, No Replication
I added three DCs to a single DC Samba4 AD domain.
They initially replicated and came up - but replication does not appear
to be ongoing. A change made to a user via MMC connected to one DC does
not appear on another DC.
It the logs I see bursts of the following message:
