NUT configuration complicated by Stonith/Fencing cabling
Hello List, Any suggestions to solve the following would be most appreciated. Setup: Active/Passive Two Node Cluster. Two UPSes (APC Smart-UPS 1500 C) with USB communication cables cross connected (ie UPS-webserver1 monitored by webserver2, and vice versa) to allow for stonith/fencing OS OpenSuse Leap 42.2 NUT version 2.7.1-2.41-x86_64 Fencing agent: external/nut Problem: When power fails to a single UPS, both nodes are shutdown. The node with the still powered UPS comes back up, but requires manual intervent...

Several clusters in the same matchine
Hi, is it possible to have several ocfs2 clusters in the same machine? We have webserver1 and webserver2 that should belong to cluster1 and cluster2 "workgroup". Cluster1 should be made of webserver1, webserver2 and application_server1 Cluster2 should be made of webserver1, webserver2 and application_server2 Is this possible? Thanks, Nuno Fernandes

Docker container isolation not working in CentOS 7
...ast an inconsistency in CentOS. Maybe the gurus among you have an explanation for this. Sorry if this is a bit long, but I try to be as clear as possible. OpenSUSE Leap 15.1 ------------------ For demonstration purposes on how things *should* be, I'm starting two Nginx containers named "webserver1" and "webserver2": $ docker run -dit --name webserver1 nginx $ docker run -dit --name webserver2 nginx These two containers have the respective 172.17.0.2 and 172.17.0.3 IP addresses: $ docker network inspect bridge | grep -i ipv4address "IPv4Address": &q...

rsync ing files within an apache cluster - newbie
...is hit lands on app server 3 that informs the user that there's no such file as file.txt What i've tried: 1. as a cron: for i in {1..14};do rsync -av /source/uploaded/dir/ user at 192.168.5.$i:destination/uploaded/dir/;done?on all 14 servers. 2. uploaded file1.txt and made sure it lands on webserver1 and the same file1.txt with a minor change that landed on webserver 3. Result: 14 webservers?received?only the oldest file instead of propagating the new one. Can anyone put me on the right track with tihs? Best, --Roland?

virt-sandbox-service
...dbox-service, this looks like a good tool for something I need to do. But, following the "examples" I cannot get anything to work correctly. With a simple xfce install with httpd, lighttpd, and libvirt-sandbox installed, I tried: 1. virt-sandbox-service create -C -u lighttpd.service webserver1 which produced a python traceback?? 2. virt-sandbox-service create -C -u httpd.service webserver2 Which appeared to work correctly but when I tried: virt-sandbox-service start webserver2 I got an error message saying that "start" was not valid??? 3. On another system with lightt...

NUT configuration complicated by Stonith/Fencing cabling
Roger, Thanks for your reply. As I understand it, for reliable fencing a node cannot be responsible for fencing itself, as it may not be functioning properly. Hence my "cross over" setup. The direct USB connection from Webserver1 to UPS-Webserver2 means that Webserver1 can fence (cut the power to) Webserver2 if the cluster software decides that it is necessary. If my UPSes were able to connect to the network themselves, this would work, but they only have USB or serial inputs for control. I am trying to kill two birds wit...

[Feature Request] Add (and check against) IP to known_hosts even when domain is used to connect
Hello Bob and thank you for your reply, first of all I hope that I'm answering in the right way since I had enabled the daily digest and I'm not sure if it's the right way to use Thunderbirds "Reply List" feature on this digest. If it's wrong this way I apologize. I turned of the daily digest so my next messages should be correct. > Are you aware of HostKeyAlias?
